AllGo is all go!

Post by tko211 » Sun Aug 14, 2011 8:37 am

I received communication late this week that the re-release of the 1:32 scale Red 19 Fw-190 was finally ready and would start shipping as soon as this wednesday. Also mentioned in the email were plans for additional aircraft, new molds and 1:18. No detail were given- but the tone was more upbeat and positive than ever before. In a recent conversation I was also give an impression that this is just the tip of the ice berg. It looks like AllGo might finally be all go!

As easy as it would be to take a cheap shot, I sincerely hope they succeed. I would love to see some new 1:18.

I shall not shoot the messenger, because TKO is and has always been a stand-up guy.
That being said, wake me up when either the A-10 or King Tiger are on retailers shelves and shipping to customers.

I hope there are some 1/18 planes in the future. I don't care much for 1/32 planes because Hasegawa and Tamiya have those bases covered for me.

Its been almost 2 years waiting on AllGo with no pieces produced under that name to date. Doubts are 100% understood and frankly deserved. This re-release is a nice token start but by no means guarantees the resurrection of the glory days. (which we all agree are long gone and likely never to return). However, I do know that the next 3 months will be the proving ground and events / orders could shape the future for AllGo and give us collectors another source for our military fix! I'll keep everyone posted as I expect to start getting more details.

I can't get on board until they start making new planes - I already have 4 Mustangs and 4 FW190s.

Wake me when they do a Spitfire repaint at least. Or a P47 Razorback.

Great news. I can't wait to see the 1/18 airplanes, but won't get overly excited until I do.

seems to be some skepticism here. Skepticism which i share, i'm afraid. I've just heard this tune too many times now...

I think it would be in Allgo's best interest, politically, if, going forward, they don't make product announcements. Just let any new product hit the shelves and if/when it does, we can all be pleasantly surprised.

Not sure if you guys have noticed but NO MENTION OF ARMOR.

There is no doubt that aircraft out sells armor 10 to 1.

It make sense that All Go would promote aircraft and in smaller scale because the 1/32 scale line out sold 1/18 scale overwhelmingly.

So I think that this speaks volumes as to if we are going to see the King Tiger from them.

Starting off with the smaller scale to build up revenue for the larger stuff makes lots of sense.

But again they speak only of aircraft.

Good thing I like both :D

Yes, they really have to stop with these announcements. Someone needs to teach the management about the boy who cried wolf :D

I already have a P-51 Shangri-La and a Fw-190 "Red 19", but I pre-ordered an AllGo P-51 Shangri-La as a gesture of good faith.

I am looking forward to seeing more paint schemes of the planes "In the Pipeline".

Thanks for the update, Zach...It costs us nothing to wait & see if Allgo can deliver.
After all, BBI did come through with their new F16! I figure this to be Allgo's final shot at credibility, but whether they produce or not, Zach is still their best bet to lead the charge!

It costs us nothing to wait and see. Nothing but agravation in endless waiting.

I wish AG good luck, but don't expect too much if they concentrate in the same old fighters in 1/32. If they want to start in 1/32, to get us to buy 1/32, at least give us something new, like a B-25 or Ju-88 or Me-110 or (be still my heart)......a Mosquito. Any of these in 1/32 would be welcomed. I have said for years 1/32 is the perfect scale for the bigger 2 engine stuff.

Even for a 1/18 tank guy like me. 8)

And don't forget the 1/18 KT and Jadg promised us ages ago.....

Thanks for the intel TKO!! I wish AllGo good luck but I'll also echo the sentiments of some of our members, I'll believe it when I can buy it.
Zach, could you ask AllGo about the King Tiger, its been what 3 or 4 + years? Do they really want our support or not? I had two pre ordered at Military Issue way back when........and then.......nothing. We've seen pics from a toy fair, prototype sold on ebay, whats the deal?
I don't collect 1:32, so if thats whats going to bring AllGo back I won't be much help.
I know your doing what you can to keep us informed and its very much appreciated.
Thanks and Take Care,
Normandy.

Thanks TKO. I buy both 1:32 and 1:18.

Word of advise for AllGo, there's a major WWII aviation flick, Lucasfilm "Redtails" coming out in January.
Timing is relevant.

as pessimistic as I am about this company, I hope we get SOMETHING in 1/18 by the end of the year. Anything, just so they can finally prove if they're for real about this. If this whole thing ends badly, with no 1/18 items being released even in the 1st quarter of next year, then hopefully I will finally learn to stop listening.

Thanks for the positive update, Zach.

I really hope they can produce, and in the short time frame promised.

I already have the FW "Red 19", and "Shangri La" P-51, so as much as I would like to get their first release, will have to pass. But on a positive note, these were two sought after releases, so perhaps they will do OK.

But AllGo really need to produce some liveries not yet done.

And if they have the P-47 mold, that would be a no brainer. Not many schemes done, and I think that these would be a pretty good seller.

No idea what 1/18 model they are thinking on releasing.

Good suggestion, Dauntless. I'd be all over a 1/32 P-51 redtails repaint. Just scale down the one they did in 1/18...
