I have 2 X-1 planes. The orange mach-1 mission and a white 6063 sister bird with the evaluation black X markings on the sides.

speaking of which, where is a good place to buy one of these? Hard to find (pegasus really needs to do something about that) and inflated prices when i do.

Suggestions?

I got the kit version when they first came out. Mine came with the nose art decal.

 After seeing how nice Tmans X-1 turned out I had to have one so I added to my collection over a year ago, however I've never built it so still nib. I hope to get to it someday. He also used a 21st figure for a test pilot aka Chuck Yeager. It looks excellent imho.

I got mine from TKO, who did a wonderful job on it. 8)

And he gave me about 6 different options[ schemes to choose from] :D

Glad that Pegasus did this historic aircraft, but the later versions did not apparently have the " Glamorous Glennis" decal. Not exactly sure why, but people suggest it had to do with the Yeager estate.

from comparing the foto of the Glennis decal from the kit and the actual foto of Yaeger standing next to the bird...the one from the kit seems a bit too large...http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KJkexUbNhNz ... k.YwkUO3bh http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A2KJkexUbNhNz ... k.YwkUO3bh

Here is my 6063 sister ship. I have seen this one modeled before with white wings and with the natural metal skin... I think the white is actually more accurate but I couldn't resist the look of the metal wings.
