To tell you the truth I am kind of excited for the guys to get their kits !!!

I forgot to mention that earlier I posted that I may have a couple of reject kits.

But I did not realize how many full builds that I have. So those problem children will now become full builds.

THERE WILL BE NO REJECT KITS .

The problem I had was the wing alignment brass tubes fell semi out on a couple. But I am in the process of fixing them.

These kits are just way too much work ( and costly ) to do . So I HAD to rework them.

For the most part $12 was not a bad guess for the shipping.

Here is were you guys stand.

---------------------Kit-------Paid Shipping-----No Shipping------Total shipping.

Gburch---------------X1-------------!--------------------------------$12
Maritime96-----------X1------------!----------------------------------$13.50
Aae83----------------X1--------------------------------!-------------$12.88
Crazy Kraut-----------X1--------------------------------!------ Did not ship
YT-------------------X1-------------!---------------------------------$12.88
Jnewboy -------------X1--------------------------------!--------------$14.24
Normandy------------X2-------------!----------------------------------$27
XD Dave-------------X1--------------------------------!---------------$12
Jay -----------------X1 -----------!-----------------------------------$63.60
Harden Steel---------X1------------------------------?------ Did not ship

So if you guys can pay your balances that would be great.

I hope you guys enjoy your kits.

A lot of work went into them and they should be fun to build. :D :D :D

Thanks for the support,

Matthew
Shipping payment sent. I believe that sets a record for the smallest amount I ever PayPal'd.

Mine came today! wow!!! I was shocked... 8) 8)
As I stood there holding the main section I thought it was only about a year ago that I posted the poll asking which jet would be the most desired and now Im holding it!! Truly amazing craftsmanship!!! awesome detail that is missed on the pics. As I held it I thought "he only wants $350 for another one?" Its a hell of a good deal for that, actually its to good! The size and detail in this project I think should demand more money.

You guys who got the full build and paint for $450 are getting a steal!! When mine is done I will offer it up for sale but it wont be for anything even remotely close to that......

I know a deal is a deal but when you guys get your Horton you should definitely consider sending Mathew a tip for his hard work on this as I have. I want him to profit off these builds so he will make more in the future!!

Mine arrived today. I had very high expectations -- and they were greatly surpassed. Stunningly good work.

I don't know when I'll actually build it, but I know I won't be able to resist cleaning up the little bits of flash so all the main parts can fit snugly together and I can get it put up to admire, even in resin-white . . .

And therein lies what I see as "The Great Challenge" for our hobby: How to harness the skill and enthusiasm of people like you, Mathew, who can create masterworks like this, without the work of actually producing product being uneconomical, too tedious, or both.

THERE. HAS. TO. BE. A. WAY.

You know what you should do, before you ship off the full builds, take some pics of one and put it on eBay and see how high it goes

Then just tell all the guys youll give them a break on it! $100 less than whatever it sells for on eBay

I better shut up, dont want my car to blow up tomorrow when I turn the key

Had to go out of town for a few days right after receiving my Horten. Just had the chance to unwrap it at the house, clean up a little flash, painters-tape the control surfaces onto the wings and slide the wings into the body.

... All I can say is that this is a masterpiece beyond my ability to express. I have it sitting up among my V-2 prototypes and it looks right at home . . . damned good thing we whupped them Nazis when we did . . .

Well I've got one coat of primer on the Horten. Some of the parts are dry fitted, still need putty and sanding.
I had to pick up some extra paint so I don't run out in the middle of the project, this is a big plane.
I agree with gburnch, this model is a masterpiece. Once the primer is on it the details just pop out, Well Done
Matthew!!!!!!!
Gotta go...........back to work.

Hey Matthew, My kit arrived today snug as a bug in a rug.
I can't really say what hasn't already been said before, but thank you for making this possible.
It's strange reading all these posts and seeing all these pictures, and another thing for it to be sitting in front of me on the table. I'm glad to be part of this project of yours (ours) :) .
Now I just have to settle on a paint scheme.
