Wow I've really been missing out by not being a member of this form. Pickel you have a remarkable gift and are doing mind blowing things. I've seen the T-34 threads and now this piece. Really sorry I missed on this one. But at some point I'll be in the front of the line money in hand for one of these amazing projects.

If Jacksons CPU is down will he be able to make the decals? or have they already been made?

CPU's don't go down, they die and you buy a new one.

No big deal unless it was a top of the line i7 dual core.

Hey Guys,

I have about 5 little parts to make AND ALL THE POURING WILL BE DONE WITH THE CURRENT ORDERS I HAVE TO FILL !!!!

Two things I need to do and after making the kits I will be shipping.

I need to make the canopies and do some touch up fill INSIDE of the wings.

The rotocasting was a success but some of the wings are a little thin in some places so I will have to pour a little resin in and roll them by hand.

This is something that I did not want to do in the first place because of the time it will take to do.

But a mans got to do what a mans got to do. ( Popeye )

I am not sure how long the touch up internal coat will take but we are getting close

Hey Matthew, i'm taking a kit so you can just send one of the thin walled wings to me, and I can bulk it up myself......If that saves you a headache.

I have made the production plug for the vacuumed canopies. I made a mould of the plug and hope to pour one on Sunday.

Then I will try to see how it works. I went down to my locale hobby shop and loaded up on clear styrene so when the plug copy is made I will see how she works.

Then it is canopy time.

The kits are getting close to be done guys !!!

Luckily I got all of the pouring in before the cold weather set in.

I have poured the plug for the canopy. Inside of the house to my wife's dismay.

I will probably never hear the end of it.

See what I do for you guys ?

I have a final piece tally for the kit. 75 pieces ! Not bad.

So that means that I had to make over 1,600 pieces

With about 12 screws and hinge pins.

I will probably start making up the kits so they can be ready to package.

Only wing fill and canopies to go and we are shipping.

With fingers and toes crossed maybe at the end of the week !!!!

The wings are done.

Everything is poured.

I have started on the canopies and can make 2 at a time. I manage to make 6 of them in about 30 minets.

It is time to kit them up !!!!

I will be working on Friday on my real job. But I plane to pull canopies and fill kits this weekend.

The post office will be closed on Monday and Tuesday. It's Mardi Gras time !!!!

So I am about 95 % sure shipping will start WENSDAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I then will start the full builds. While working on the full builds I will try and fill delinquent orders and maybe start the 251 back date moulds.

I need to start bring money back in. This project is bleeding me. :?

Matthew, is this the camo scheme for the full build?

I would much prefer a green splinter camo version, as that is more ETO. This other scheme is basically desert camo, and would seem to be out of place, given the time frame.

Well, the Horten did support the final Axis Eurasian victory of 1948. They were deployed in great numbers in the Mesopotamian and Persian campaigns of 1946 and 1947, where they sported just this color scheme.

I've seen discussions in so-called "alternative history" forums where people talk about the Horten only being seen in small numbers in the ETO in late 1945, and even one wild scenario in which the Horten was never even deployed because -- get this -- the Nazis were defeated in the Spring of 1945!

... personally, I've never gone in for that sort of wild speculation ...

Hey Pickel - any idea on the timeframe to ship the full-builds? No rush on my part, but just curious... Many thanks!

Hey Pickle - Any idea what the specifiic names are of the two paint colors (the green & Grey) on that version of the Horton. That is the same way I wanted to do my kit and since that is going to be the paint sceme you do on your full builds I figured I would ask for some guidance. - Thanks
