True Heroes Apache

Post by bpxbrian » Thu Feb 24, 2011 11:26 pm

Was at Toys R Us today, saw the True Heroes Apache Helicopter. It is about as long as the Blackhawk they did. Anyone else see it yet?

I haven't seen it yet. But from your link, it looks like it's Power Team. Are the pilots articulated?

there was one of those on ebay a few weeks ago....sold for over $60.

Looks pretty neat and definitely power team. I hope this means they've made a bunch of new stuff.

I've seen this at TRU as well. Definitely underscale and not useful for anything realistic in terms of small-scale militaria. The figures are tiny and rather un-articulated, but there is something about the helicopter that's sort of cool. It would work very well for GI Joes and is superior in most respects to that Dragonfly that was released for the GI Joe ROC line last year (and it costs about the same). It could use a repaint on the fuselage and painted canopy framing.

i think it's pretty neat for what it is. If the bbi apache didn't exist i'd probably get this and spruce it up. I have and like the PTE Dauphin and it is nearly as underscale. Just a case of having better options with the apache i guess. Lots of guys liked the PTE A-10, simply because there was no better 1/18 option.

I like seeing PTE conitnue to come out with cool stuff. I hope there is more ground stuff on the way.

I have only the PTE Little Bird. It was not a hard job to dismount it and modify many areas. I think it would also be easy to custom this Apache to make it more realistic, perheaps with smaller pilots. BBI items are so well done that you don't need to make anything, but if you want to, it's really difficult. At least, when you look at a flying helicopter in the far, or flying with high speed at low altitude, you don't see so much details, and the general outline of this Appache is really not bad.

we finally got these up in canada and i have to say, it's pretty cool. The kiddies will love this. Nice and big but not so big that they can't fly it around and play with it. Pretty nice detailing, although some framing on the canopy would have been an improvement. I was tempted to get it just for the Longbow aspect of it but i know it will look like poop beside my big BBI. :)

I bet this is a good seller for them, like the blackhawk and navy seal boat. Anything that makes the true heroes line thrive is a good thing for us.

Some custom work on a PTE model. Does anybody have picks from the True Heroes SEALs boat?

I just saw this True Heroes Shark plane at TRU today. Not sure whether it is a new item or not.
