AMAZON/TRU has posted ONLINE the F-18 Black Hornet...$56.00 + shipping!

But is it actually the black one? They are notorious for posting a pic of one aircraft and actually having something different in stock...Wish there was someone to contact to verify this.

Is there a real Hornet painted like this?

Got a sneakin' suspicion when the plane arrives it'll be the good ole Golden Dragons version. I was under the impression the black one was a 04 Comic Con item only???

The F-18 was never on Amazon, was it? Odd that they'd get that photo if they were to get it wrong.....very cool scheme if it's real....I thought I saw a JR bug like that once....

I'll take my chances. Who else mounts the payload wrong (the fuel tanks are outrigged and the bombs are inboard - use the MORE PICTURES Link)? Amazon/TRU is notorious for misassembling products for their ads. Search the Battlestar Galactica Colonial Viper on this site. The wings are on backwards!

Anyway, if it's not as advertised, I can return it, which I won't because it's decently priced. Another thing is why would bbi send such a "rare" bird for an in-stock ad photo. Amazon/TRU usually does it's own ad photos. I got my order confirmation. It's due to be delivered here on Wednesday, so I'll keep you informed. Incidently, I have never had a problem with Amazon/TRU.

Get it - I was looking for a coupon.....shipping was 11 but "tax" was 6 so I wasn't that excited...but as stated above it's not a bad price to start. And you get the gambling sensation

I'm glad I didn't pay $300 for the Comic Con plane last year.

I just snagged one myself. With tax and shipping it was 71 bucks or so. I always wanted one so this was a great chance. I do hope it’s the black one, it just looks sweet. Still, for the price, who cares?

I just ordered one! $59 total. Not bad at all! I'll take my chances if it's the same Golden Dragons one. I'd LOVE the black one... but a F-18 is a F-18... I'll have two Golden Dragons for that price!

Well, I just ordered one as well. I hope its the black verison but if not can always return it, I guess. Maybe aferg can find out if bbi made these available to amazon?

finally i will get the jets!!!

see i knew somewas was going to sell them at the original Black Hawk or Apache price.....I personally think that the online stores are selling these planes to expensive....
plus or minus $50 is more like it.
I hope the two i get aare black, i really like that scheme!!!....
it reminds me of the F-14 from the movie the final countdown.

At +/- $50 bucks each plane it is a great deal not to pass on.
ifthey kept that price I think their number would increase even more!

Yeah, but you of all people on here Bruzzer I'd think would be the closest to my mindset in that another F/A-18 Hornet, even if it's a Golden Dragons, is too good to pass up at that price!

I'll pass on this one. The black F-18 as painted at the show was completely BS and made up. We'll see if it is same one or the actual legit Black F-18.......

We're all aware of the old "Item may vary from picture" or "We reserve the right to substitute" but either way, a Hornet at $55.00 is a good deal IMHO.

As far as the Comic Con exclusive goes, if it does turn out to be the black bug, apparently it wasnt that exclusive..lol and anyone who has one can really only play the whole packaging thing up, unless the TRU version has the same Comic Con boxing..lol
