Thanks for the comments fellas. I love this scale but displaying them properly is always the problem. My wife raises an eyebrow every time I pull on of these beauties out so when I was messing around with these I had to lie and tell her I was photographing them for Ebay!

Gouchy, we must all read from the same playbook and, just like Jell-o, there's always room for an A-10!

Yep I'm sure many others have probably read the same playboy...erm I mean playbook...

The awesome A-10 is definitely No.1 on my 1/18 holy grail fantasy wish list, followed by the Sukhoi Flanker and Mi-24 HIND helo 8)

I'm always impressed by how good the original S1 BBi F-18 still looks, even when sitting next to the JSI F-14 (albeit an F-14 thats been de-spotted :P ). The two planes are seperated by over 6 years of evolution of 1:18 models and the F-18 is not without its drawbacks. The rubbery landing gear, exhaust nacelles, sticker-decal cockpit instruments are a few of my major gripes. However, while the F-14 certainly has all of the finer details we have come to expect with our models, the F-18 still holds it own.

I'll never forget when I first saw the F-18 in person at my local Hobbytown USA store back in 2004... The sheer size of the thing blew me away! IMHO, the BBI F-18 still wins out in my book as one of the most audacious 1:18 aircraft ever made. It was also the first true 1:18th scale jet fighter ever produced 8)

Agree with Tman.

Both the BBI F-18, and F-16 hold up well, even though they are older molds now. One of the reasons they still bring in big bucks sometimes.

And they are impressive, with a big wow factor. :D

trex0770; At least your wife raises her own eyebrows...My wife raises mine using hot pins at the mere mention of a 1/18 aircraft.

gouchy ; lying to your wife...How very dare you!!!!!

There seems to be a common theme - Excellent model aircraft collections in large scale = keep wife under need-to-know info restrictions.
