You'd have thought the Hartmann ME-109 would have been a natural release years ago?..They did the Galland which if I recal correctly was a pretty big hit!

I have always thought that WWI planes would be big sellers....even at a little higher price...just my two cents.

The A-7 is a great plane, and one of my favourites from that era. The chin scoop, with sharkmouth are a great feature of this plane. And all the ordinance that this plane hangs on its hard points is most impressive. 8) I have all the Century Wings 1/72 versions, and really like them. But I don't think that it is popular enough to do in 1/18, as of yet.

The F-8, is another classic aircraft from that era, and the "Last of the Gun Fighters". But again, don't think it would be popular enough to do in 1/18. The CW F-8 did not sell very well, and that was in 1/72.

My thoughts are if you wanted to go small, do a Harrier. But it would be a little complex. Or an A-4. Lots of schemes to choose from, including the Blue Angels.

But the F-4 is a no brainer too me. 8) Pretty big, and would be pricey. But tons of different USN squadrons could be done, as well as SEA camo USAF versions as well. And it can carry quite a bit of ordinance as well.It is THE plane you think about when Vietnam is mentioned.

Price point with any new 1/18 release will be critical to sales, but an F-4 would be where I would put my money.

Cough, Cough!

Relax dude, relax.

Understand your enthusiasm for the F-8, VMF115. And it is a great looking jet fighter for its time. I would get one of these in 1/18 if it were done. I have three of the Century Wings 1/72 F-8's, so I do like the plane.

But these didn't do very well in 1/72[ partly due to lack of schemes], and 1/18 takes a more dedicated collector than 1/72.

Sticking with the F-4 as my first choice. Not my only choice.

I am telling you the F-8 is getting a bad rap in 1/72 scale!
If they make it in 1/18th it will rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like an affordable ME-163 Komet in 1:18th with the details and quality of Pegasus's V-1 flying bomb kit.

:p51: my 2 cents, F-4, A-4,& F-8 would all sell better then a A-7.
if you are starting a new company the 1st product has to hit a home run to make a profit. as P-51's Me 109's, Spitfire's and Corsair's have been done another hit plane would have to be found.

I would be down for an A7. If done right, maybe several for customs.

Pass on the A-10 and F8 as I have zero interest in either in any scheme.

i think a hit out of box would be a Phantom, F-22, P-39, or a F4F-4 Wildcat.
anyone would make money. i just don't see enough intrest in a A-7.

I'd love to see Hal Marr's F-8E in 1/18th, but that's my pet wish. I know it probably wouldn't generate that much interest.

"When you're out of F-8's, you're out of fighters"

The Komet, priced well and with a pilot figure and tow dolly, would be awesome. I'd love to see a Kettenkrad with it too (I'm dreaming). I'd be all over that like stank on you-know-what.

I agree with Snake. The F4 is probably the number one contender. In addition to 'tons of USN and USAF schemes' - there are about a dozen other Air Forces across the world who've had the type in service. (and that includes the jolly old R.A.F.)

His other point is also valid - The aircraft has a unique selling point because no matter what any other aircraft did, this is the iconic Vietnam era warbird.

Price point is certainly important, so is a pitch at similar rates to the JSI F14 where it should be? But produced to a proper standard and sold only after a proper quality control check system thus without the pre and post launch bad publicity harming sales of the first and any future releases.
