Idea for Mcfarlane Toys....call of duty?

Hey,
A while ago, Mcfarlane toys made some Call of Duty figures in six inch or so scale.
Do they still have the license for COD?

Here is what I was thinking. They have been making more and more 4 inch scale figures lately with their PoP and sports stuff.
The 1 18th fans are starving for products, but none come. There IS a market out there, whether BBI sees it or not.
Fans of video games expand their knowledge and devotion to games like COD everyday. A lot of people get into collecting figures and stuff these days because they are in videogames. Take the Halo games, for example.

So, here is my idea. What if Mcfarlane were to produce 4 inch scale figures from the call of duty games? They could make them modern/WWII, and ideally be actually based off of the characters or NPCs in the actual game. They could release them in the way Hasbro did with the IJ figs, have the waves be figures from a single game.

For instance....

4. Sgt. Griggs (USMC)

Call of Duty: World at War wave

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 wave
1. Captain Mactavish (Snow gear)

5. Sergeant Foley

7. Russian Soldier (Snow gear)

I dunno, what do you guys think?

Sounds good but I don't give much hope of McFarlane ever producing these.

I collect the original Call of Duty figures by Plan B/Activision from 2004.
The Call of Duty, World at War figures by Macfarlane from a year or two ago were never really popular. evilbay is swimming with them,
all sellers list them as rare.
To try and boost sales they released "limited release" figures with Gold weapons. Didn't help.
Great idea's you have, but I doubt we will ever see them with the down-turn in collectable toys in general.

The gold weapon idea was so lame. the figures themselves weren't too bad though, especially the Marine with the Garand storming ashore.

Imagine a Marine storming ashore with a bright Gold plated M1 Garand.
Do you think it would be a big glowing beacon for the enemy to target?.
margras77 should be Macfarlane's prototype designer though. His ideas would sell a lot better.

If MCfarlane did these they would be more statue like, remember his military figures before COD? They were nice but no articulation. I would actually like to see Hasbro do COD like they are doing the new GI Joe line. Lots of weapons and accesories.

doesn't help that McF's last 1:18 effort produced immediate peg-warmth. Granted the subject matter was weak but nonetheless..

i don't know how their baseball figures are selling, but i think they're awful. They have so much articulation that they look freakish. Didn't interest me at all. I bought some starting lineup figures a few years back, and while they're not great i much prefer them to mcf's.

Just nice simple 4 inch figures of interesting subjec matter, that's all mcf has to do. They don't have to try and revolutionize 4 inch figures, just cash in on their popularity.
