Re: Custom Updates !!!! Update 3-13-2

Post by pickelhaube » Thu Apr 05, 2012 6:19 am

Time for a semi update.

My real job stepped up for the past 2 weeks ( THANK GOD )

Good news for me financially but bad news for customs.

Weylen YOU FINALLY GOT YOUR M-10 !!!I offered your money back but you were willing to wait. Thanks very much for hanging in there.

The Indy bikes/side cars are fully painted. They just need to be assembled and put together.

Charlie I really hope to get your turret together this Fri and Sat and hopefully get a coat of primer on it.

All of these guys have been waiting for close to a year for the Horten project to finish. You guys orders are close to beeing filled !!!

The Horten full builds.

I have handed the parts over to a buddy of mine Scott. Scott is an accomplished modeler who primarily works on WW1 airplanes in different scales. He has won several awards in local modeling contests. He is a stickler for details. I have dumped the daunting task of cleaning up the parts ( close to a 1,000 parts ) in his lap.

That way as he works on the parts I can work on filling orders. He says that he is about 2/3 done with the parts.

The bad thing is that Scott works for me with my " real " job. So whenever I work he works . So he has lost 2 weeks of work on the parts as well.

Anyway , looking at the schedule in the middle of next week the Horten will start back up. Scott said that he will definitely have all of the parts prepped ready for assembly.

So hopefully the end is in sight. If I can just get the Horten project done I feel that with Scott's help I will be able to do 2 things at once and get more projects out faster.

But in the future there is a possibility that the full builds may be a thing of the past.

It just takes too long to do and everything else takes a back seat.

The additional $100 that I charged you guys to build and paint your Hortens is/was an unbelievable deal and I will not offer such a deal again.

If I were to offer the full build for the Horten again I will charge the standard rate as I charge for all my other full builds which is double the price of the kit.

So, hopefully just a few more weeks I can finish the Horten and move on to other projects.

As always thanks for the support . For you guys who are waiting for your orders , just a little more patience and you will get them.

Matthew

Good to hear your business has picked back up, I hope it keeps you really busy, so that when you get the time again, you'll have some fun making customs.

I know that everyone here loves the work you put out, but taking care of family always comes first :D

I think that I have 2 of the Witts. I know that I have one new in box and the one on the shelf. But I think the one on the shelf could be the first issue ( Normandy ? )

The 222 is selling for $250 but the moulds are in a bad way. So I will call it semi retired.

I have NO idea when I will be able to remake them.

Everything has come to a grinding halt because of my real job. I do not have time to ship stuff that I have done.

I have gotten some things done other than the Horten.

Sravuth your parts are ready for final paint. I am working out a few options to match the paint.

Sravuth's project may just be the first application of my fuel probe on the NEW BLACKHAWCK FROM BBI !!!!

The Wirblewind kits are done they need to be kitted up and shipped.

The T-34/85 kits will be started this week all 5 of them

Then more Hortens .

Plus on top of everything else I started making the mould for the SDKFZ 251 ambulance cover in between resin pours .
I have the standard top almost made and could post some pics this week.

Don't forget guys this is the year of the Tiger II !!!!

Back to work. :?

Oh... it is close to lunch time :D :D :D

Hello ,

Yes I got it. Sorry but I forgot to answer. I do offer the turret as a kit and I can fully paint it . I usually charge twice the price of the kit for a full build.

Shipping it to Malaysia is about $10.

Yes I do pay-pal

Thanks for the interest. :D

Hi PH. I am in. Will email you in a few days to get the total and PayPal you the $$$. I won't need a fully painted turret. Haven't decided yet whether to put it on a sand or green camo-ed Humvee. :-)

Hi PH. Did you get a chance to read my email yet on that Humvee turret?
Let me know the price and when you think you can produce it.
Will then PayPal you the cost + shipping.
Cheers.

Yes I did. The reason I did not answer is that I am desperately trying to get caught up on delinquent orders.

The HUMVEE is not an easy kit to produce taking away time that is needed to fill the outstanding orders.
I would love to take your money but it would be about 2-3 weeks before I can make it.

So it is up to you, you can pay me now or wait till I get caught up.

Tell you what, I'll get back to you in two weeks to
see how you're doing with the other work.
And if you're close finishing, I'll pay you for the
turret. Or 2 turrets ( I assume the work is almost
the same). :-) Also gives me time to hunt down a
.50cal and grenade launcher. Best wishes.
