Eh... It will possibly sag if it gets to like 90f in there. Usually foam holds up not too bad!

it's tough to say but i think it's very close to 1/18....probably a bit bigger but not much. I think it would fit in fine with a 1/18 collection.

Looks nice, but check out the Durafly Spitfire MK1. The scale look and foam finish are much better than the eflite. On a slightly closer scale to 1/18, I flew my FSK Mosquito 1/15, this weekend and got some great photos from our photographer.

Thanks, the Mossie was a lot of work! I've been building up my RC collection over the last couple years. I found that for same price as 1/18 I cloud get detailed models that actually fly. 23 Aircraft so far and counting, just trying to bring them up to match with the detail of 1/18 models now.

Well, best of luck with whatever you decide to do with it. Just be aware if you decide to fly it, it's definitely not a beginner level model. I would put the P-40 in the intermediate category, maybe as a good 3rd airplane. If you have the experience, go for it! Otherwise, best keep it on the shelf and start with a trainer plane like the eflite apprentice.

I use to fly RC stuff a long time ago and might be a bit rusty, it's been a long time between Drinks, lol  I will probably do as you suggested and use another one to get back in the sadle.

Awesome! I'm sure your flying skills will come back in no time, just like riding a bike. Also, if anyone is looking for a 1/18 C-47, hobbyking has a very good deal on a bare bones kit. It's going to need props, landing gear, detailing and a paint job, but it's a good start: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hobbykingtm ... m-kit.html. The canopy shape is a bit off, but that can be corrected with this kit: http://parkflyerplastics.com/cart/index ... cts_id=720

I have admit I've been eying that one up! Reports are that it flies extremely well! I am waiting for this Tigercat to be released before I decide though: https://www.facebook.com/FMSmodel/posts ... 5708863386 The CNC shock absorbing LG looks fantastic! Although both are nowhere near 1/18..

Crazy Kraut, check this out: https://www.motionrc.com/collections/wa ... np-flw205p Not 1/18, but a pretty unique German bird to say the least.

Oh yes it is. But my favourite is the Do335.
I hope for TEEBIRD to built this one up.
So the only RC-models who are near by 1:18 scale is the B25 and the B17 and the JAMARA F4 Phantom II ?? One guy in the forum is talking about an A10?

There are a few more out there. The A-10 that has been referenced is a Flying Styro kit model, and they are out of business now. Here are the other 1/18 RCs that I know of that are within reason for cost:
LX 70mm edf F-117: http://www.generalhobby.com/f117-nighth ... p-814.html
50mm T-33 (discontinued): https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing ... ollectible
64mm edf Freewing A-10: https://www.motionrc.com/products/freew ... df-jet-pnp This one is a very nice flyer and fits in well with the 1/18 models despite being closer to 1/16 scale.
FMS F-4 (discontinued) : http://www.bigskyhobby.com/FMS-F-4-Phan ... p6332.html

The alfa Beaufighter is also pretty close to 1/18 and is still available direct from the manufacturer: https://www.alfamodel.cz
The J-power F9F Panther is also close, but a bit on the small side (around 1/19-1/20): http://www.bananahobby.com/3-ch-j-power ... t-kit.html
50mm edf T-45: http://www.bananahobby.com/3-ch-blitzrc ... t-arf.html
