It's very common in the toy/model industry.

It's just as common for people to take pics anyhow.

I dont see why anyone would want a 2 seat trainer..

Need to clarify, its not a trainer its a J-11 which is a Chinese Copy of the SU-27 its meant to have two seats like the F-14 is meant to have to two seats. It's mission dictates it has a pilot and a backseater.

I don't think retailers would want to touch that with a nine foot pole. It's bad enough having to move the remaining stock of Spotcats out the door (and that is without accepting returns, mind you), imagine just how many Flankerdots they'd sell in this economy.

who knows maybe they will tiger stripe it.

Greetings:

Would look great in the colors of the Russian Knights. They even use some two seaters so a two seat ship would not be inaccurate at all. I know it won't be painted in that color scheme, but it would be cool. If this comes out, maybe Skyworks could do it for me. It'd be neat to have for sure.

I don't mind the look of the two seat version at all.
In fact,it looks smoother, and cleaner than the single seat.IMO.

However,I would prefer it in Russian,or Ukrainian colours.

Still,I am excited about this release, but no pre-order for me on this one.

After the Tomcat fiasco,I don't trust JSI.

I will wait until we have some reviews from people who actually have received the production model.

If the reviews are good,I am all over this one. 8)

well they are doing a chinese version, right, i doubt they will screw up a plane that represents their country. unlike their american version of the tomcat.

All in all, it's encouraging news to hear that JSI is going forward with another 1/18 scale jet. Hope they get all the bugs worked out of the J-11/Su-27 before they release it... :D

The Chinese birds will likely see some action during the lifetimes of at least the younger members of the board here.

I believe it's a J-11BS, which, as far as i know, has not been accepted into PLAAF service as of yet.

What will the size be in 1/18?
