Any interest in a F-14 ladder ?

Post by pickelhaube » Wed Feb 03, 2010 5:04 pm

I have been asked if I would make a ladder for the F-14.

Some guys want it folded static and some want it to unfold.

Is there anybody else who may want the ladder ?

Would you all prefer folded or working ?

As usual if I get about 10-12 guys who want it I will build it. So far I have about 4 guys.

Any more ?

F-14 Ladder

I would be interested in one of them. How much do you think they will run. And Functional would be great. But Static would be fine too, which ever one is easier.

I'd be interested in a functional one depending on a cost. Do you have an estimate?

I really do not know.

How does $15- $25 unpainted sound ?

Of course I always get beat up with my estimates. :?

I'd be interested in a working ladder.

If it looks good and is functional, that is reasonable IMHO.

I have not started , but I will try to get them to swing out.

I am just fishing now. Other guys have been asking me so I am throwing this out.

As far as looks I think that I can make it look close to the original.

I have a pretty good batting average so far.

We will see what happens with this. If it does happen it will be at least 2 weeks off.

I have a whole bunch of comissions that I need to do. :D

Mathew,
I would be up for a functional one (loved DEVGRU's) if I could figure out how to cut that little panel below it so the ladder door could open fully that would be the cat's meow as they say. Oh, guess I need to hope Jack at Skyworks does the metal gear as well so I could actually display it on its gear and see the ladder open! It would look silly in flight mode with the ladder extended.

Count me in for 2 ladders...(If its static, I would hope it would be in the open position).
I'm no modeler, so could you offer it painted as an option...Understand cost would be higher, but if I try to paint it
Thanks for taking this on, Matthew!

At the price you quoted, I'm good for one of your pieces ... either way. :)

Static Ladder

Post by mcaulk » Sat Feb 06, 2010 2:03 pm

Put me down for one. I would prefer one that is as accurate as possible and open non moving. I find that I usually play with the moving parts one time and then never touch them again. So lets go for accuracy.
