This is a toss-up. Like the idea of new nose art type, but hesitate at the price + shipping for a repaint. Will probably stay on the fence till see actual photos and feedback before I commit. I do however wish the company well in its endeavours to come back.

Like you I cant justify 100 bucks for a remolded/repaint

ALLGO drop the price to 70 and we may be in business

I have enough P-51D's. Will wait until some company makes a B or C model that doesn't cost $$$$. Even $100 is too steep for a D, that's, what doubled in less than 2 years?

Agreed. Besides, I doubt my parents would let me get it regardless.

I am probably in.Not going to pre order, but wait for some reviews.

$100 still seems a little expensive, but if the reviews are good,I will support this new company.

It depends on the number of units that are in the production run.

If it turns out to be is a first baby step for AG by producing a limited run, I'll get one simply to support AG.

I'm a vehicle guy with only a few planes and I'd buy this for the limited investment and so AG gets the KT into production.

A price of $100 is not a bad price for the product we were used to seeing.

.....so basically, it's a model that lots of people have multiples off..and..it's more expensive......yeah.....think I'll sit this one out.

PS. I wish you all the best AllGo, and it is good to see a new company.........(but another Mustang...really? Whatever it takes I guess :? )

King Tiger, fallshirmjagers, red devils, russian snipers.. I can think of a lot of things, already on the roadmap, that I would purchase from AG before the passion wagon.

I'd like to see an early model D, as depicted by the paint master, or a B/C like others have mentioned.

Another repaint of a late model D is less interesting to me, but will watch for reviews and sales, and consider options then.

Not sure why nudity should make a paint scheme more collectible, but appreciate historical paint schemes so welcome the variety.

I hope it works for AG... maybe the people out there buying the high priced ones off eBay will think $100 is relative bargain. :)

I'm on the fence. My initial reaction was to go for it, but the longer I hesitate the more I find myself leaning toward not getting one. I really want the KT, or if it has to a repaint, how about the Bush Avenger (if they have the Avenger mold, which is an open question)?

Yes I will buy! And, my long winded response to why...

Back in 2000 the wife and I had no children. On the weekends we would go out and shop till we ran out of $'s. She bought cloths, and I bought the mighty 1/18 planes and armour. There are eight Wal-marts & two Tru's with-in 40 minutes of my front door. I would watch e-bay for new releases to know what to look for. We continued to do this until #1 came along in late 2002. Then the trips where less, but I tried to keep up with the newest release. There were days when I would score big time and bring home a new bird, and too many others where all I did was waste an entire day looking for a bird that had not landed in the area. The wife always brought something home!!!

When I look back I realize that I spent a lot of $'s driving around only to come home with a bunch of cloths for the wife!!! I have a large collection of warbirds, but doing the math I would guess that each one may have set me back 100 bucks or more when you figure in all the overhead (gas, clothes, wear on the family truckster, and my time)!

Now I'm not going to continue to by re-paints of the P-51 after this one, but I am very excited to see what is next in line.

I do miss the excitement of rolling into a Wal-mart and finding a P-47 Eileen! Ahhhh the good old days :D

Excited about the new company and wish AG much success but hope the prices are re-evaluated....considering Bbi sold their BF-109 & Hellcats (with more detail) just a couple years ago for $40-$50.
And how many 1/18 planes has BBI released since then, maybe the $40-$50 per plane just couldn't justify the profitablity of making more.
CD, check your attitude. Just read your reply and frankly don't care for your tone. I've read some of your other posts which have this tinge of attitude.

But to answer your question, Bbi released their fair share of 1/18 aircraft (fyi they're a big company and the Elite Force line is just one of many brands that they own. My point being they aren't soley focused on 1/18 scale toys). Here's the list :

4 mustang liveries (DD, Cripes, Killer and OC)
4 corsairs liveries (MD, Korea, DJ and Checkerboard)
7 F-16 liveries (including 6 ANG options: Cal, Okl, Tex, Ark, Alab, NY)
5 F-18 liveries (BA, GD, Top Gun, RD, and RAAF)
2 hellcats (Vraciu and Cat Mouth)
1 BF-109 (Desert)
2 Zero liveries (PH and Green)

also
AH-64
2 UH-60 liveries
2 Littlebird liveries
1 Kiowa

= they've done enough in a reasonable price range......they wouldn't have done all those planes if there wasn't a profit like you said.

I didn't pay > $65 for any of those planes at retail (and I know most were from a few years ago but they still didn't translate to $100 in today's $$). So you can go ahead and pay the $100 price point....your choice. More power to you in supporting AG to make more models. I won't buy the new Mustang at that price (as I've stated I've got enough).

Next time if you want to ask me a question howz about PMing me instead of trying to put me on the spot when all I was doing was stating my opinion like everyone else!

Actually, 2 AH-64s, 2 Kiowas, 1 MH-6 and 2 MD 500 Defenders (the first "Little Bird" they did).

Thanks guys, I stand corrected. My point was that there obviously was a profit for Bbi in making 1/18 aircraft at a lower price point (unlike what CD was trying to say) since so many aircraft were made.

I also understand AG's position in trying to drum up capital (if indeed the Mustang will be $100) for future projects. Personally, I'm just not going to buy the Mustang at that price AND I certainly don't begrudge anyone else if they choose to!

Well I think that I may be in for one.

Something tells me that they will come in for less. I think $100 is a bit much.

Days of $39.94 are LOOOOONG gone.
I think $70 is a good price maybe $80 but that is pushing it.

But that is commerce start high and work back to low.

So I think that is how they are coming up with the $100.
