Hey, just thought there were some pretty overzealous comments. Just my opinion though. If some folks are excited about the plane, more power to em'. But if you need to get caught up on the "Onwu" debacle, I'll point you in the right direction. start here:

When you put a 21st mustang next to a BBI mustang, the 21st doesn't hold up.If they're using the 21st molds on this mustang it still wont be as good as the BBI.That's just my opinion from what i have seen so far.

If they put a Spitfire out, I think it would be a different story than the 262.

Don't think the proper English put any naked ladies on them though.

yes they did....not as commonly as the americans though.

I'm surprised the 262's didnt' do well. Really surprised. That may be in part to the fact that they were the first planes not to be released at WM and had much higher price tags than everyone was used to seeing. It's one of my favourite planes of WWII and i was and am hoping for a sturmvogel repaint.

I'd also looove an Arado 234...that would look awesome in 1/18, complete with little RATO pods under the wings a la the Frog boxart from when i was a kid.

i agree they were great! but bottom line is what counts. 21C started discounting wholesale price on them shortly after the second release.
i have both! the night fighter is fantastic.

i also agree the Arado would be a great piece. i just wonder about the mass market appeal.

I read all the comments pro and against All-Go's "Passion Wagon" P-51 and I think both sides present valid and strong arguments.

IMO a more reasonable price for this repaint is around $60-$75. Should the price remain at $100 a pop, the only way I could buy this plane (I currently don't own any 1:18 P-51s) is for All-Go to modify the mold to remove the dorsal fins added to late D models. Most of the real pics of PW I've seen are of the early D P-51s. There's a late D model that was painted PW owned by the late George Enhorning, though I'm not sure if the real plane that flew in the war had dorsal fins installed later on. Unless this was the case, I'm not willing to pay $100 on a repaint that's also inaccurate.

Well I think that anyone who pays $100 for this thing is driving up the price and driving the people who can’t afford it out of the hobby. I’m sorry to say it but it’s like a bunch of drug addicts dying for a fix and will pay anything for it. I bet this thing costs $10 per unit to manufacture. I know for a fact that a $30k car costs under $10k to manufacture. It’s not a new mold it’s just a repaint.
Sorry but I just can’t support a repaint for over 2X the price.

I was looking at the All-Go Toys website and my eyes keep getting drawn to the B-25 at the top of the page. I sure hope the goal is to be able to produce a 1:18 B-25 someday! If that is their goal, I'll buy a couple of these Mustangs to support the cause (could make good Christmas presents). But, I'd be pissed if I did, and all we got was constant repaints!

With the BBI's Old Crow still available for $59.95 (thru Aikens) I just can't justify it, even with the nose art and historically correct markings I can't honestly see where it's that much better.

There is a B-25 at the Morgan Hill Air Port here in Northern Califonia and that would make a pretty large 1/18th scale plane...I don't know if they'd really do one...and the cost might be pretty large to us as well..although an F-14 is giant too...so who knows maybe so.

I have to agree with you there as well. I just got the BBI Old Crow P-51 through Aikens. It looks fantastic and the OD green and gray really hide the over-riveted surfaces found on the BBI P-51. I guess that took care of my OD green P-51D fix

That is not to say anything negative about the All Go aircraft - save for the price. That one looks amazing as well and has all the accurate points of the 21c retooled P-51D, but I've got to save a little $$ where I can for the upcoming All Go King Tiger and Jagdpanther

For all these folks griping about "Its just another repaint", you realize that the company has to start somewhere and in this economy, you can't expect the company to shell out a few hundred grand on new tooling when they don't even know if it will sell. It just makes good sense to come out with something well known right off the bat and get some money to pay for the new tooling we all desire. And, for these "No repaint" guys, you also realize that this is not "just another repaint", but if All-Go modifies the tooling like it should, it will be a P-51D-5 early variant.

Is $100 too high? maybe, but if these don't sell, you can forget about the King Tiger or B-25 or anything else.. The days of "Walmart pricing" 1/18 planes is over, and those expecting it to come back should probably move on to another hobby.
