New Items from Schleich for 2010

Post by Tanker85 » Sun Jan 24, 2010 8:31 am

I recently purchased the animal nursey ( yet to arrive ) and saw they will be offering a trailer for the truck and a light observation plane. They are close to 1/18 scale so may have potential for customizing.

Water trailer

Post by Rylau » Sun Jan 24, 2010 9:35 am

With a little OD paint and a couple of small mods the water trailer would make a passable Vietnam water buffalo. When do you think it would be available and where would be the best place to look, TRU, Target, Walmart ??? Thanks for the up. Bob

Great find.. This plane looks interesting and might be good fodder for a US Grasshopper.

Plane

Yup, A little paint and a couple of willy peter rockets under the wings and you have a perfect FAC Birddog. Just hope the plane is really close to 1/18.

the truck also looks like wwii era british bedfords....lots of applications if so.

I doubt the plane will be close to 1/18.

Much of the schleich stuff is available at TRU up here but have never seen some of the things there, like the truck. Specialty toy shops should carry it though.

Plane and trailers are showing available in beginning of 4th quarter 2010.
I agree plane will probably be the most underscale of the group but I've wanted a spotter plane for awhile so may get it anyway. I purchased the animal nursery on amazon.com for 111.00 w/free shipping.
Thats about $40 cheaper than Target or TRU. There appears to be many compatable accessories for customizing. Alittle pricey but excellent quality.
I am going to get the truck next.

Heres another link from old days about Schleich products. I'm waiting for the delivery of the house and windmill and water tank. Scale not quite 1/18 but close enough for me.

some time ago i also got the scheich covered wagon from their old west line. I used it just as what it is, but with some mods it could be used as a wwii german supply wagon.
