army ranger figures available??

Post by SGT. ODDBALL » Sun Jan 17, 2010 7:00 am

hey bros. i remeber seeing a diorama with 21rst soldiers. the diorama was army rangers climbing up the face of a cliff. on the back of the helmets was the #2 inside an orange diamond, like the ones in the movie saving private ryan. was this a custom job, or did a figure come with this helmet??? thanks for any answers.

While it could be a custom, there was a BBI US Ranger figure that had the insignia on the helmet. I believe it was the officer. Also, 21c did make a Ranger figure as part of their D-Day lineup, just with no insignia on the helmet. BBI helmets do fit on 21c figures

You probably saw the bbi guy TMan mentioned. That wave of figures had a number of similarities to SPR characters, including some faces. If you look at their backpacks and gear you will see similarities too.

just some paint sharpies aren't to great. They tend to run from the decal solution... :( so its just paint. Of and you may want to paint the black first... I did not and had to out line it!!!! dang...

I wonder if monkey depot will make some 1/18 insignia sets!!!! THAT WOULD ROCK!!!!

But the 2 is off a decal sheet..you know the numbers over the decals labeling them.. :D

Just wanted to say nice job on the "29er" to the Ranger's right in the one photo. My uncle was Company "B" (Lynchburg) and it's nice to see them get represented as well.

Thank you.
