1:18 German Lafette MG34-42 Tripod - New batch, lower price

Post by grunt1 » Mon Dec 14, 2009 8:33 pm

Was $15, now $10 and includes assembly screw and nut.

You can put in a hob-bit screw with a pilot hole and it is designed to rotate
on the site rail. I also included the advanced optics and sight. I
supposed you could clip those off if you wanted a unit without them.

These look great the legs do look a bit thin. Maybe you could slip some brass tubing over them to beef them up.

WERE DID YOU GET THE SAND BADS AND HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY FOR THEM ????????

Do want! I'll wait until version 2.0, though. ;)

That 21st never did one of these is shocking. Not really, 21st's logic was always suspect to me.

Ok, gang.. Thanks for the feedback. I've made the final units a bit larger and improved the legs so they are sturdy now. I have 5 of these available at $15 each. Send a PM if you are interested.

Looks great with a gun crew:

Tripod holds the MG-34 and MG-42 (FoV and 21C) equally well:

5 are available. They come un-painted and require minor assembly. Poster tack or a small screw work really well.

They are ready to ship. PM me your address and I'll get you an estimated total.

Oh and paypal would be preferable, but if you need to do it another way, let me know in the PM.

Grunt,
How does the MG stay on the stand?
I don't see any bands to hold it or anything...
Thanks!

You should be able to just set it on the stand. Or if you mean the mount for the MG, poster tack or a small screw work pretty well.

One on of the MG's, I can't recall which I had to clip off the middle mounting peg so that it could more easily rest in the gap provided by the front and rear mount points.

On another one, I had to shave the opening a bit with a hobby knife to make the channel wide enough for the MG barrel to fit and sit comfortably.

Does the mount also hold the Marauder Inc. MG-34 by chance? Just curious if that's a usable item with it as well.

Great question Jesse. I didn't have a Marauder MG-34 on hand so I ordered a few and will post some pictures when it arrives.

Oh and I'm doing another set of these because the last ones sold out so
quickly and there were more orders than tri-pods. If you want to put a
pre-order in for the next batch the price is still $15 plus shipping. Shipping
looks like about $5 in a flat rate box to anywhere in the US.
If you want more than one, several can fit in the same box so you can save a
little cash.

I'm happy to help our overseas friends as well, but I'll need your address to
calculate the postage.

The Marauder MG-34 arrived today (that was fast). The ammo belt is keeping it from resting completely in the brackets, but otherwise it was a great fit.
