how about a flyable scale model ? - why not an A-7 corsair ?
I really appreciate this website because i'm new to this hobby (only got a BBI P51 from BCT + 1 little bird !) I plan to buy F18 soon. But i'm in France and thers' no WM at any corners (for me BCT rules !!!!)
While surfing on internet i cam on this site of intersts for evry one of us : http://www.flyingstyrokit.cz/enovinky.html : there is some incredibles models (like a P-51 B, a Me 110 or an A 7 corsair II !!!) it could complete our collections + they are flyable !!!!!!!!!!!!!
it seems to be roughly the same scale ? if anyone knows something ....

Welcome to the site Supersonic! We look forward to your contribution!
Have you seen any Corgi 1:18 planes in France? I know that they are available in Germany and in England. Does anybody remember Dirk's sales website?? I would post it, but I forgot it, duh!
Anyways, welcome to the fun and let us know when you get the F-18! You will definately love it......

CHIPPY HO !
I'm not really crazy about demo paints (ecxept the latest mirage 2000 for tiger meet ....) but "chippy HO!" seems to be the most used one (i collect die cast too !) but this custom repaint is stunning for sure ! http://phantom-us.com/images/aircraft/f18/f18_r1_c1.jpg
when i see these japeneses pages i wonder about some details : what about the silver P 38 shark and F 4 CORSAIR folding wings are those custom TOO ?????
PS : my fancy 1:18 model would be either at 2 seat F 18D or F 18F + of course a MIRAGE 2000 and why not a large sukhoi 27 - 30 !!!!!!

Nope
No my friend - the Shark is a rare version of the P-38 and the 21st Century Corsair has folding wings.

I almost bought the A-7 Corsair on Ebay but didn't for two reasons. The wings are too big for the fuselage and mainly because it represents a 2 seat trainer version that was fairly obscure. Why they chose that variant to make i have no idea. Had it been an earlier single seat model i would have definitely gone for it.

thanks for the advices !
thanks for the advices ferguson ! but i disagree you about the two seaters (my favourites : for example i prefer the F15E than a C ! or a F18F than a E ) the two seater corsair was the last operationnal US Navy electronic counter measures asset in the 90 with some striking paint sChemes ! i cant remember the unit -

Corsair
I would like a Corsair 1/18 plane.
I always liked that plane and i can remember it vividly as it took off from the runways during the 70's.
Good plane!
