I know I won't get one of the special editions, but I support this idea. :)

I think it will be a nice piece for the collectors who really have been the backbone of lobbying for the plane and having a few rare planes seems to generate interest in future aircraft / models.

Depending on the price,I would be in for one of these.

You thought a Blue Angels F-18 was expensive.

Wait a couple of years, and see what these would go for.

Talk about info that wasn't to be released for a few more weeks. I know what is special about this edition and must say it is unlike ANYTHING bbi or 21C did.

Will it be unveiled by Martin Sheen or James Farentino?

I am glad I hadn't dropped my $225 on one yet. Guess I will wait just a little bit longer to try to get one of these.

Limited Edition JSI F-14? Sounds expensive........ I'm struggling to afford the regular release, count me out  . Unless of course it comes with a free 1/18 scale P-39. Then I'm in.

i hate all that dont tell anybody crap! big deal doesnt affect anything. they want the buzz out there. people talk and it only helps them. took a look at the note doesnt say anything about keeping it on the down low. just 250 pieces will be made and suggested retail will be 280.00. the f-14 is over sold in pre sale and they wont be doing another run. so i wouldnt count on many of these special planes being available. atleast not at that 280 price.
badcat will probably buy a bunch and sell them as private reserve for 800 bucks!

Greetings

I mean this in all seriousness, if it were an Iranian version, I'd buy it.

That'd be very unique and an interesting piece :)

The Iranian schemes would look great, though still inaccurate for the mold.

I'm thinking one of the later A model Bombcats

Hi Gang!

We can confirm this latest JSI info and the $280 MSRP American Grenadier announced.

These pieces were to go (did go?) to Hobby shows showcasing JSI & Merit. We and other retailers have been offered these pieces at a much higher price which in turn costs the consumer more as well.

I'm sure more info on what exactly the differences will be will come soon eneough...and with photos. :)

Cheers and 'early' Happy Thanksgiving to ALL! :)

Someone registered and let the cat out of the bag. They have a really good contact because that goes beyond my knowledge. Read post #409:

Good catch on the pics. My dumbass saw the new ones and completely missed all the wires.

$1600 is way too much for me, but it is amazing they are offering factory customs to the public. A high-viz Sundowners would look purdy spiffy on a stand with the lights on.
