Just got "Spinach" Me 109

Post by snake » Wed Nov 11, 2009 8:16 pm

I just bought a loose,mint, "Spinach" Me 109.

http://www.sshqdb.com/18/displayimage.p ... m=50&pos=0

One of the rarest 21C planes.

Would have definately preferred MIB,but it was cheaper this way.

Not a bad deal.
$220,shipped to Canada.So about $190.

Pretty happy to have this one in my collection.

Is there a "secret Spinach handshake" that I have to learn? :D

Man I love that Spinach ME 109. That was the first 1:18 plane I ever had...bought it at the WWII (then D-day) Museum gift shop in New Orleans way back. It sold for $39.99 back in the day.

There were S1 and S2 Stukas hanging from the ceiling and I thought they were all the coolest thing I had ever seen...I still do. Who says collecting can't be fun...and profitable too!!! JD

I think Popeye knows it. ;)

Congratulations!
I got one too, believe it or not by my girlfriend years ago from TRU online as a birthday present. I think it was on sale.

You can always take one of your less rare 109E's and replace it with the spinach one to keep it out of harms way. It just takes some skill with the twisty-ties etc.
I have put a few 1:18 planes back in their boxes in the last year, after the prices started soaring.
Good thing I kept all the boxes and contents.

I sold mine a while back. Regretted it ever since. I was in a bit of financial trouble at the time so I sold it. Stupid me.
