Isn't the only one. Actually 3 exist, 21st had 2 and the 3rd accidentally got shipped via an old 21st fan club transaction in 2005 as ski stated. Looks fishy to me ie. the camo on the wing. Their release photo when they were debating doing this scheme does not have this camo, the one that the fellow got by accident does not have this camo, so I'm suspect. This guy is selling a helluva collection of nice pieces and to nonshalantly (sp) list it like it was a standard ole full blown production bird seems interesting. Below is a pic from the 4 for Victory drawings for the panels, hard to see from the size but the top one circled is one of the 3 prototypes, 2 of which 21st still had. If this is kosher then it's yet another one that escaped, and they must've "experimented" with adding some camo...considering the guy is in CA, maybe somehow he got his hands on one too, perhaps at an auction or something when 21st shut down..?..hard to say.Teamski wrote:To the best of our knowledge, this is the only one. It was accidentally sold through 21st's site, when they used to sell planes on it years ago. 21st requested it's return, but the buyer kept it, of course.....

Its not If not then the other one like it went for over $500.00vmf214 wrote:Isn't the same oneKWR190 wrote:Last time this was on Ebay it went for over $500.00
At first, I thought the band on the wing was camo, too, but on closer inspection, I think it's just a weird reflection off the clear plastic packaging window. I'm not sure how else to explain that it seamlessly carries across the blue area between the wings and even beneath the ailerons.vmf214 wrote:Looks fishy to me ie. the camo on the wing. Good eye, I see it now! Sweet, a second one now accounted for. Looks like 21st may have had a little auctionroony sometime after their demise.aae83 wrote:At first, I thought the band on the wing was camo, too, but on closer inspection, I think it's just a weird reflection off the clear plastic packaging window. Geez the infamous double post..aae83 wrote:At first, I thought the band on the wing was camo, too, but on closer inspection, I think it's just a weird reflection off the clear plastic packaging window. I wonder where #3 is...aae83 wrote:At first, I thought the band on the wing was camo, too, but on closer inspection, I think it's just a weird reflection off the clear plastic packaging window. This was never produced probably because it is the wrong scheme for this plane.. This type of scheme wasn't around until the G-2 variant.art2614 wrote:Never seen this one but it looks nice! Why wassnt this produced and how many are out there?
• JSI likely wouldn't do it because as Harry stated it's a totally incorrect scheme for an E model. Even if they did it wouldn't undercut it's value anyway since these are 21st made items and only 3 to boot. This is a true collectors item that will draw the attention of serious collectors as it obviously has already. JSI or anyone else doing this particular plane wouldn't change the fact that it's an original 21st prototype.gustav wrote:It's now up to $467! I wonder how the seller obtained it? The seller only has a feedback score of 17, so I'd tread cautiously if planning to bid.
It appears JSI has the Me-109e-4 mold, so maybe they'll make this particular aircraft and undercut its value.
How do we know that there were only three of this version made?
ROFLMAO.........tmanthegreat wrote:This is totally off topic, however, based on vmf214's photos above, Zach (aka TKO211) doesn't look anything like his action figure in the XD Vietnam figure line
Last week a Blue Angel F-18 sold for $1,100. This may top that one.gustav wrote:The latest bid is over $800, which I think puts us in record territory for a 1:18 scale aircraft!
With two days to go, this thing may go for over a grand once the last-second bid snipers have their say.
