nope, i've got whats wronge with it, its the jolly rogers fault, the plane represents a pirate flag, hence pirates all together, ITS GOT SCURVY!

If it’s scurvy, try going the pirate route: Enjoy some rum. As in a quarter gallon of it. Then rub some lime on the spots. Perhaps the patient’s condition will improve. But even if it doesn’t and the polka dots don’t go away, you won’t notice them all that much. If that doesn’t work either, try wearing a patch over BOTH eyes. If still dissatisfied with the results, you can always douse the plane with rum and set it on fire. Voilà: instant lighted special edition for ya.

Oh, yeah, don’t forget to upload the video to Youtube.

I still think it can be salvaged. We have to figure out what color the grey or white is and than the cone.I also think just about anyone who has ever used a spray can could fix the spots. The top part of the plane would be the easiest. Remove the tail fins and mask a few spots and you would fix it very easily. Same for the underside just mask the decals and spray. The hardest part are the sides of the plane near the cockpit. You would have to follow the Jolly Roger decals perfectly and might even have to pull out the brush. Overall though I think its a excellent model that with some work can be made presentable.

No warning.

You guys who got warnings, what AV do you use?

And although I don't really collect 1/18 or Modern, I'm more bothered by the venue name on the wing rather than the dots. I could almost live with them but the 'AWH 2009 xmas' hurts my eyes.

Just confirmed my local Hobbytown USA store is officially getting in the F-14s right around the 10th, and for $215 to boot. I'll get mine there as I do like to buy local when I have the chance. The store is getting in eight of them and four have already sold

I'm going in this evening to place my order

Let us know how it turns out tman! $215 at Hobbytown is not bad at all, considering that shipping tacks on $30 or so.
