Is it to early to get everybody's hopes up because of the new Merit announcement ?

:D
No it's not Matthew, you should most deffinently make sure everyone's hopes are high on this build.
Especially sense "no one" knows what the merit version is going to be...

This is one of the reasons I quit 1/6. Affordable vehicles that can be modified with work and imagination. I almost exclusively do Vietnam era stuff, and I always wanted a 1/6 Huey but would never spend over $1,000 for a Len Mount B Model.

I'd love to see a 1/18 D or H model with the correct engine cowling. Let's make this happen!

Alright guys here is my next project . The stretched Huey.

I have had guys send me Hueys and a model in order to do this.

For sure I will make the prototype but time may not allow for copies at least I can offer something for the guys who have donated.

Also I do think the Viet era Cobra project will be right beside it.

It is helo time.

OF COURSE AFTER THE JAGDTIGER PROJECT IS THROUGH.

Glad to see this old project is still happening. If you need another Huey, I've had a spare set aside since you first proposed the idea..

Well it has been about 2 years . Merit has come out with their Huey .

Is there still desire for this project ?

I will try to do this ( if there is still interest ) while doing the Hind .

I am thinking of doing the whole sides like a clam shell and you guys gut your Hueys .

I need to look into it more but I am thinking of using the original skids and make a brass tube to stretch the skids in the middle.

I have a whole list of WW2 stuff on the way and you modern guys need something after the HUMVEE .

The UH-1H might be a bit more simple, when it comes to detail.

Good news!
Don't over do yourself there though Matt, the Hind looks to be coming along nicely.

I believe that I already know the answer but, did this go any further? Back burner?

Well, from my viewpoint, at least it is not a "dead" subject then. As they say, there is always hope! Thanks for the quick reply!
