oh my..

if this is true JSI must be the company that has had the 'secret' F-14 we've been discussing and wondering about. That thing will be a monster in a monster sized box.

Here's a bit of info i found on JSI. Not very up to date.

http://jsitoys.com

They seem very much like a BBI type company. No idea how big they are.

Tomcat, Huey? Cobra?

Post by bpxbrian » Fri May 08, 2009 8:23 pm

This is great news. I wonder what the price range will be on the Tomcat Pre-order. I also like the look of the Corsair. Nice to see another P-38 on the market as well.

Good to see the 21st molds are still in existence. What about the helicopters. Could we see another Huey or Super Cobra in the near future?

Greetings

This is a must have for anyone in this hobby. I'm defintely preordering this. Given the photos and the other information it appears this company and or team behind this was working behind the scenes for awhile. Too much information too quickly to be entirely start up.

I hope MTS picks up this company and they do a lot more stuff. Maybe we will see a Thunderbirds F-16 or something from them. This also could explain why BBI wants to release an F-16 again. They have competition and the only way to compete is to get out product.

Based on the illustration, the weathering on the F-14 looks impressive.

Great news, so apparantly JSI will be the maker and Kawai will be the marketer...

Actually JSI will be the maker and Merit International will be the middle man.

Makes me wonder how much fire this will light, if any, under bbi since Merit handles some of their stuff too.

Of course bbi has Cal Teck (?) now I believe.

The F-14 illustration doesn't show any squadron markings. At last year's toyshow, the 1/18 F-14 was shown in VF-154, USS KITTY HAWK markings.

Ok I just read that Merit is the US distributor, Kawai is the Asian distributor. I just hope they aren't as stingy with paint schemes as Bbi is with the Falcon and Hornet. I will most assuredly buy every repaint of the Tomcat that comes down the pike, a VF-1 Wolfpack version is a must.
