Detailed Avenger torpedo doors.

Post by pickelhaube » Sun May 03, 2009 9:28 am

It looks like almost everybodies fav airplane is the Avwnger.

B-29 asked me have I ever concidered doing a detail kit for the Avenger torpedo doors. Would anybody else be interested in this ?

What I could possibly do is some sort of cage like skeleten that can fit inside the doors. I think they are all zinc cromate painted inside aren't they ? I have never taken mine out of the box.

That way the out side paint job will not be effected.

Thoughts ?
Kirk Douglas : Mine hit the ground first
John Wayne : Mine was taller

Picklehaube I would be interested in the torpedo door conversion. I have a few extra Atlantic Avengers just gathering dust and I was just wondering how much would it cost or would you even be interested in doing a custom conversiom to a British MK II version similar to this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0399538214 Thanks, J Dowd

Thanks for the quick reply picklehaube. I really need a painter cause I really can't paint. My talent lies in writing checks or sending a pay-pal payment requests. That's the extent of my modeling talent. Thanks, J
