Aviatornut.com Email (the Nail in the Coffin)

Post by gustav » Tue Apr 14, 2009 3:12 pm

Did anyone else receive today's email from Aviatornut.com indicating that he had bought the remainder of 21st's existing inventory? For those of us optimistically holding out hope for 21st's continued existence (including myself), this is truly the end.

He appeared to have some relatively rare items in stock as well as some of the recent blowout items from MD.

Oh well, here's to an enjoyable 7+ years of collecting 21st's products.

everytime I have been to aviatornuts website, it only shows what seems to be a screenshot from about 3 or 4 years ago- p-38s, p-47s, spits, 50 or 60.00 bucks??? whats up with this website??????? Actually, this has been the case ever since I would occasionally visit the site........are there any 32nd 21st AC at this site or just 18th AC offerings that never change or seem added to...I don't get this site...obviously...

Where does anyone see any new stuff having been added; where do y'alls emails tell you to look???

We'll have to wait and see if these are indeed the last remaining items of 21st's inventory. MD may just pull a surprise here.

So sad to see 21st go. They did SO much for this hobby. They brought in new life and made the last 10 years some of the best we've had. Very sad to see them close up. Was also hoping they'ed get a few more things out, maybe they still will. They have filled Ch11 before.
Otherwise, RIP to one of our greatest companies.

I tell you what, the main reason I never ordered anything from Aviatornut.com was that I couldn't tell what the hell was in stock. As I customer, I'd would like to know what is available instead of going through the hassle of having to email first to know what is available and then continue an email transaction to buy something. It's inconvenient for me. Just my opinion.

I would have liked to have had a chance to buy a bubbletop P-47 but wasn't on his mailing list. Oh well...

I wonder what happened to their prototypes like that of the A-10? I wonder who got those?
