Phil

The Seeman 109 is a very nice scheme and the paint ops' on my example are excellent, even though as a rule I prefer more generic or anonymous paint schemes (almost nonexistent apart from some of the early releases) I really do like this one to the point that I would have liked to see the other similarly painted aircraft from that unit as well, sort of along the line of the Flight 19 Avengers.

The following profile also helped me make up my mind to get this one.

I would say not to rare. But when the Cobra helos came out there were plenty of them as well.

Nothing of 21st should be passed on now.

I made a kit a while ago for the M-113 and I do not even have one because I passed on them when they whent down to $15

As for the M-113, I just have one and happy to have it. It will not hesitate to jump on a second one if I can put my hands on it !

Beware of the paint job: viewtopic.php?t=15776

The 21st version looks nothing like the above profile. The drak gray is so much darker, and the pattern is lousy (esp. the tail).

If everything is sooo bad then quit buying it. There is good and bad examples with everything. My Seeman is just fine, very minimal errors that don't get my blood boiling one iota. Don't think you'll have to worry about 21st's QC problems for much longer.

If your sensibilities are so delicate, maybe you could stop reading my posts.

Or are you actually disputing the fact that 21st is known for their QC issues?

I know QC issues with 21st as I had some in the past with M-16, some SDKFZ and 88 flak.

I am sorry if my delicate sensibility hurt your delicate sensibility  BTW, you have a PM.

I have this version of the 109, and mine is really nice. Great paint work, and nothing to complain about. :)

I know you know. I'm afraid there ws a misunderstanding. In my previous comment, I was addressing VMF214 and his gratuitous remarks about me. However, my comment appeared immediately below yours, thus giving the impression that it was addressed to you (when it wasn't).

Sorry for the misunderstading.

Are you someone special? In predictable fashion anyone that posts something to the contrary you go on the offensive, tiresome. It's not all about you. We all know you are ok and the world is just messed up.

"Or are you actually disputing the fact that 21st is known for their QC issues?"

In your typical fashion you make a feeble attempt to put words in someone's mouth. No one is disputing anything, stated a fact, mine was ok along with several others I've seen on WM shelves. I've been collecting 1/18 since the first releases in late 99 early 00 at TRU, have at least one of everything, by everyone, you can't tell me anything I don't already know, you've discovered nothing "new" with the QC issue. As I said before you attempted yet again to make someone else look the fool (what's your handle again?)...there are good and bad examples of every item on the market. In the case of the Seeman 109, mine is good. Pretty literal statement, not subject to much interpretation, no subliminal conspiracy theory there, just read the words and comprehend. The horse you continually beat can't get much deader...

Talking to you is like a one legged cat trying to bury a turd on an ice covered pond.

I have 2 Seeman 109s and both are quite nice. Neither have any noticeable QC issues other than minor scratches from the tie downs.

Honestly, I wished I had bought one more from MD...

WOW! This would be cool to see, forget the turd and the ice covered pond! On second thought forget the cat, lets see the frozen turd.

Speaking of 21st QC, I remember once buying a German SK.SSN (SehenSieNicht) for what I thought was a pretty good deal. I took it out of the box and put it on display. I didn't notice till much later that the quality was so good on this Item that I couldn't find anything! Nothing!
Maybe one day when I have time I'll take it down and try to figure out why I bought an empty box?

Someone special? Nope. Just the guy you addressed with this rather offhanded comment: "If everything is sooo bad then quit buying it."

Or was it addressed to someone else?

Sorry if I took your snide remark as a personal jab at me. My bad. Apparently my reading comprehension skills are not on a par with yours.

"As I said before you attempted yet again to make someone else look the fool (what's your handle again?)"

Talk about putting words in someone's mouth and making it personal.

"...there are good and bad examples of every item on the market. In the case of the Seeman 109, mine is good. Pretty literal statement, not subject to much interpretation, no subliminal conspiracy theory there, just read the words and comprehend."

Sure, let's read the words and comprehend: "If everything is sooo bad then quit buying it."

Pretty literal statement.

Not subject to much interpretation.

No subliminal conspiracy theory there.

Just read the words and comprehend.

Ah, but were you talking to me? Must have missed that part of your literal statement about the outstanding quality of your Seemann.

If everything is sooo bad then quit buying it. Like I said. Offhanded? Snide? Personal jab? No. All you do is continually bash, we get it already. Time for side B. You haven't discovered the wheel, 99% of us have gotten lousy stuff from 21st but the difference is we don't dwell on it and declare war on the world, chill out. Bottom line my Seeman 109 is a good one, others posted their's was ok too, cyber-fence them for awhile, I'm bored with it.
