Back dated Panther G custom kit
Anybody interested in a Panther G back date kit . Rounded mantlet short rear radiator cover and new stacks ?
Here is a casting of the new rear short radiator cover. The white did not come out well. I need to paint it gray so it would come out but this is what you will get. I can also make the screens.
I was also thinking of making some zimerrit panels like the smaller 1/35 models.
Let me know. This is just an idea as my 1/35 scale 222 kit is on the way. As soon as I get it I will jump on that. After the flak gun molding is done.

It would be easier to make a prototype Panther F than a Panther II. First of all, there was never a real Panther II turret produced, it was just on paper. Plus, you would need to redesign the lower hull to accommodate the KT running gear, road wheels, sprockets, idler wheels and transport track. Then the upper hull is completely a different design apart from the G hull.
Easier to pop a Schmalturn turret on a Panther G hull. Even then, that would just be the prototype Panther F. The Panther F hull was not the same as the G hull was.

Those would go with the G model. The A would be the easiest. Different hatches different front viewer. I have forgotten if the rear is the tounge and grove wedge of if is on the D or A as well. The memory is not what it used to be.blitzhaze wrote:all great ideas but what about the aust a or d panthers
I need to look it up. The wedge is easy to replicate but the modeler would have to cut off the long fender line.
