Is the Bravo Team M1 Abrams worth getting?

Post by Kleinesoldaten » Sat Feb 21, 2009 12:51 pm

I'd appreciate any opinions or facts on scale, detail etc. on the M1. I know a lot of you guys are experts and I'd like to thank you in advance for any info.

I have both paint versions, and like them a lot. Much better than the bbi Abrams.

The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

Thanks guys.
I'm convinced. After the wife leaves for work tommorow, I'm going to go pick up a camo version at Target. I was suprised seeing the comparison pics with the BBI M1 that I thought FOV wins hands down.

I'd definitely get the Bravo Team version. I chose that (actually have both paint schemes) over the BBI version. The sand color BBI uses just doesn't look realistic, the browns are too dark. Don't like the Humvee either, the 21st Century Hummer is a better color and matches the Bravo Team sand color better.
Enjoy

I took my BBI Abrams back as soon as I tried to stick a figure in it. I chose it to match my LAV, but could not stand it. The Team Bravo is so much nicer and I really hope we get the LAV25 in matching color. I got my 21st C Humvee today and agree it's the perfect color. BBI is too dark, Bravo too light.

Bravo Team version wins hands down as the best M1 in 1:18 scale. The color is right, the weathering is right, and with a couple of the Bravo Team tanker figures in the hatches and accessories in the stowage racks, the vehicle looks awesome!

I like my FOV 1/18 Abrams a lot. I was able to compare it side by side with the BBI Abrams at Target and the FOV is much better. Just a few minor complaints--the drivers' box doors are incorrectly located (they should be inside the box) and the 50 cal. machine gun and stowage rack are permanently bent.

Also, FOV recently released a 1/32 version of the Abrams at Target, but I still like the 1/18 version.
