21st Century's web site Dead ???

Post by General Blasto » Sun Jan 11, 2009 12:40 am

I just thought I'd check out 21st C's web site and there has not been an update on the "news" - home page since June of 2008 :? Did 21st give up on their own site or what  Not even mention of the 88 or the 3 newest figures :(

This is sad

This very sad news

And all they gave us was a KING TIGER Wallpaper

even during their hay days updates were not frequent. Now that they're in spore mode it's not surprising there have been no updates.

Just continue to hope for their recovery....buy some more 88's.

Ok, I guess I didn't see the 88 on there ,aybe because I have the page set to go right to the 1/18 items.

As for the 88s, I have 4 of them now. I would get more of them if we had a decent SDkfz 7 to pull them with :? Yet I may get a couple gray or tri color ones, if they are made.

Right now, I am thinking the best shot at a KT is a 1/16 version from FOV or an RC model.

21st needs...

Post by bpxbrian » Sun Jan 11, 2009 8:59 pm

What 21st Century Toys needs is a government bailout.

Thousands of collectors are being affected.

A $2 Billion bailout would get us started. I say we start with the B-25 we were once promised. Followed up by the F-4 Phantom.

Admiral will get us that Skyraider and Dauntless.

BBI can get us the F/A-18 repaints as well as their new project, the F-14 Tomcat.

The pic of the 88 on the home page was the most recent thing that I was requested to update on the website. I have been in contact with the CEO from time to time and he has told me that 21C is working on some restructuring and hope to have more news for us in the future. Meanwhile I am still here and waiting to help when they need me.

I want a KT too! :D

The CEO needs to throw us a bone so we don't lose all hope. An update on their situation, or a couple of quick desired repaints from existing molds that have been underutilised (like the 1/32 spitfire, or the new tooling P-51D). Seems like smaller scales would be much less of a risk for the time being.
