Tiger at Target?

Post by bpxbrian » Tue Dec 09, 2008 8:32 pm

Like the rest of you, I've been glued to the F-14D Tomcat news and speculation. In the meantime, I thought I'd let you know the latest I have found out on the FOV Tiger tank front. Unfortunately, not that promising.

Here's the email and response I got from a Unimax (FOV) rep:

----

Thanks for your email. But from our plan, the Tiger I will not be available
shortly.

Best regards,
Unimax

Subject: Tiger I (1:18 scale)

Hello!

Many military collectible enthusiasts are wondering when we can expect
to see the Tiger I in Target stores as we have the Abrams, Bradley and
Pattons. We like your products.

Thanks

____

Now, what they mean by "shortly" is open to interpretation, but it doesn't appear to be a month or two away. Maybe the Stryker first?

Your thoughts?

I heard it needed a set of road wheels, but not that specific mod was actually being done.
