21st's 88 FlaK Gun Has a Ship Date

Post by lightning2000 » Fri Oct 24, 2008 10:38 am

21st Century Toys' King of the Battlefield Adjusts its Range
Quiet for several months, 21st Century Toys has finally lifted the veil of secrecy shrouding their upcoming 1:18 scale FlaK gun. Painted in DAK yellow, the long awaited '88' has, according to the manufacturer, been given a ship date of November, although its not clear which half of the month it'll make landfall. Happily, we're still able to offer this wonderful gun at a pre-order price of just $89.99, $99.99 if you wait until it digs in and gets prepped for its first volley. This is one of those pieces everyone has been asking about for a very long time and is finally seeing the light of day ...[posted 10/24/2008]

Glad to hear that's it's almost landed although not too happy about the price though. Pretty steep. Gonna have to bite the bullit though and get one. Too good of a piece to pass up.

Just to add to lightning2000's post, the availability is around "November 10th". Foxhole Toys has confirmed with 21st C. that they will begin shipping out from their warehouses on the 3rd of the month. :)

Don't look for these babies at Mass markets. lightning is also correct in the Preorder pricing. Retailers get a 'preorder' break at this time which we can then pass on to our customers. After they become available as 'in stock' at the manufacturer's warehouse the prices will go up!

This puppy wiil be AWESOME!!! :D

Cheers all!

November 10, 2008 or November 10, 2009?

It remains to be seen whether 21c will survive until November of next year.

Grab 'em while you still can, says I!

........ but if this thing sells out , which I believe it will , they'll do an (S-2) version in dark panzer grey.

* Lets hope it does for 21st.Century's sake.

I have the same feeling King O' Fools.

You need to call him. He does not keep up with his site. Call leave a message. I'll put it to you he is the CHEAPEST in the NATION . That is unless they do go to TRU. He sells the stuff cheaper to forum members. He has been doing this for awhile. He may not get it as soon as the other bigger players . He usualy gets them a week behind . But to save money, what is a week or so ?

I GET ALL OF MY XD FROM HIM . BUT I DO BUY IT BULK. I have gotten 16 P-40's from him along with other newer XD.

BTW, I'd placed my preorder with
BadCat prior to discovering MTS's offer. I'm staying with that since they've been real good and I'd committed to that preorder. Sticking MTS to free shipping to here would be a big minus to them and they've also been real good. I'm just real content that this thing will see the light of day. With the '88 and my preorder for the 'Benz G4 that was announced here earlier, I'm now officially out of ground space. Sigh.

OK, while I am practically broke (I usually always am) I think I'll also have to get this despite the horribly steep price. I can always ebay it if they make a gray one - assuming 21c even survives long enough to do that. I've got no shortage of DAK figures to make a proper crew. While I am a huge supporter of Badcat, the fact that I would have to pay shipping plus Ca sales tax makes the free shipping and no tax from MTS seem a bit more enticing. There goes another $90
