Since when is 1/6 the dark side?
i was collecting Joes when i was 12 or 45 years ago.
I agree. I always considered 1/32 the dark side.....you can't resist THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE .

Actually, I'm a little concerned that 1/32 will go the way of 1/18th (sporadic releases, no news). Combined with the departure of Roy, I fear for the quality of all releases.

On the other hand, think of the increased collectible value of what we currently have!

?????

We are still getting 21C new releases in 1/32, Target has now put 21C 1/32 products in their stores and BBI has two planes released with two more planned in 1/32. Future looks brighter than ever for the smaller scale. 8)

At this point the future is just about anyones guess. I am keeping an open mind because 21C can do just about anything. I stopped trying to guess with them a LONG time ago. They seem to always have something up a sleeve.

Thanks to all my friends here on the forum who have PM'd me and expressed concern for my absence as well as hopes for me and my family. My daughter got to ride in an ambulance a couple weeks ago and then spend 4 days in the childrens hospital for breathing issues. She was on oxygen for most of that time waiting for steroids shots to kick in and fix a super bad viral cold she had. But all is well and no permanent damage (other than my bank account) That was one expensive week!) LOL Anyway, thanks again to everyone for your thoughts. We are all good now and my bank account is obviously not the primary concern. I would spend it again and again and again for her to be healthy!

Now I am just going to cross my fingers for that darn KT and 88! I don't even want to tell you what (was) in store for figures... it would make you cry!

* Anyway , glad to hear your daughter is fine now Zach. ... I'm sure Roy will do alot better now too. He's probably better off.

Glad to hear that you and your family are fine TKO. All of us on the board was wondering where you had gone. God bless . :)

Target: Yes the 4-star military stuff is in a test offering mode at Target. They seem to be doing really well based on the info that I have. The change in package design was at the request of Target. They wanted something Red and Black and Gray to be more exclusive to them. At the moment Target is the only way to obtain those paint schemes and if all goes well you can expect more in the future according to the CEO of 21C.
So far I have found all but the Sherman playset at Walmart in the green 32X boxex.

Thanks for the intel Chunks. I wonder how germane this is to our hobby? I don't think 21C did brisk business with the 1/32 model kits; goodness knows there wasn't much room for margin with them.

I guess that it appears that 21st Century is done with and will no longer be making the 1:18 and 1:32 stuff from reading that link.

Here is the paragraph in the link:

One victim of the declining hobby market is 21st Century Toys. The company recently laid off many of its employees and won't be turning out much in the way of new product for the foreseeable future. According to their sales manager, we probably won't be seeing any more new 1/32 kits. If you've been thinking about stocking up on these beauties or even the pre-finished 1/18 scale subjects, you'd better not wait much longer. WalMart is evidently not stocking the military lines from 21st Century Toys any longer.

Who knows what will happen down the road. 21C has been on the ropes before and come back. I have heard/read in a variety of places that the "old" releases showing up again is a sign of 21C desperately trying to come up with cash or trying to unload anything and everything before they close. Obviously its just speculation though. I definitely do not want them to close, but if that ends up being the case...he he - I'm loaded.

Hmm, ironic that Roy is NOT making decals for 1/18 (or 1/32, it appears). Seems like there would be a market for customizers/repainters and he probably has more knowledge of 1/18 than anyone. Just an off-the-cuff observation.

I just hope that the KT and 88 gun make their debut before 21st decides to call it quits.
