so who's planning on getting a 1/16 T-34?
so who's planning on getting a 1/16 T-34?
there's been much talk about Trumpeter's T-34, both in kit and r/c form and many have asked questions about it, wondering if they should get one or not, maybe holding out for a 1/18 scale version from somebody, like FOV. Personally, i doubt FOV will make one to sell in Target stores, because i doubt they would perceive it as a good thing to sell there. So unless the Bravo Team line expands beyond Target, we may not get one from them.
Anyway, who's taken the plunge, or going to take the plunge and who's going to hold out for a 1/18 one?
History is waiting..

BUILD IT!!! It's a fun kit to build. Very little hassle.MG-42 wrote:* I've already got the Trumpeter Kit / 1943 w/ Hexagonal turret that I got pretty cheap , but I'd like to see somebody do one in 1:18 of course. *

I really like my green RC version of the Trumpeter T-34/85, and I'm thinking of adding a winter white version to my stable of 1/16 RC tanks in the near future. I just wish 21st, Dragon, FOV, or BBI would make some 1/18 scale WWII Russian troops.

I won the kit off of e-bay before I even heard of the R/C Kit. The R/C was cheaper !! I am what you would call lazy I have the R/C out but I haven't put on any of the handels or all of the little do dads to compleat it. It would be nice to have a T-34/85 in 1/18. Wasn't somebody on the board going to make one?

Have one RC T-34 - believe it was Aferg who tipped the board off to a smoking auction one time. Absolutely love it. Had it out again yesterday with a few IJ Russians hanging on it (I don't get picky on scales when its flying across my backyard 20 feet away). The vodka was flowing, and a good time was had by all!

While I have been defending new pricing, I find that $100+ is a bitter pill to swallow. I feel too poor to afford one, but could easily have bought two recently if I had shown some restraint on other toys.
I am sure someday I will feel like a high roller and pick some up, but for now will stick to 1/18.
