The new pictures I see are the Desert colored Patton, Huey, and Willy. With the poster on the wall, it looks like a tie in to the new Matthew McConaughey movie Sahara. Movie licensing?

I found the link to the Toy Fair photos on the Art Asylum Star Trek Board. I backed out the Art Asylum pics and saw that 21st Century had a bunch. Was I surprised.

Don't know about Sahara, but if you look on page 8 of the Toy Fair pics, it looks like 21st Century is doing "Platoon" figures. It's hard to read, but look at this particular pic:

Good eye cmelt27,

That does look like it says 1/18 Platoon figures. Look at the head sculpts on page 8, those are the actors from Platoon. Awesome! I hope they use another body beside the Mutt Driver/Patton Driver/Huey Crew.

*edit* On page 9, there is smaller version of the movie poster using XD figures. I sure hope this deal is in writing because that would be so great for 21st century toys.

At the top it says it will include 10 figures, so that obiviously isn't all of them. I wish they would make some Band of Brothers figures like that. I'm also wondering if they plan on making a "A Bridge too far" figures hence the poster.

Either that or re-release the existing WWII line up in Bridge Too Far packaging. I think that license was cheaper/easier to get than Spielberg productions. Whatever they do, it should be good for the company.

Nice Panzer, I havn't heard anything about this new movie but hopefully it will help get 21C products more exposure... Then maybe more vehicles will follow?? :D

XD Armor is NOT dead!!

21st is just full of surprises!! I love that Panzer IV and the M113! The possibility of that Panzer may just be enough to make me hold off on the new release of the Panther. They have the look more of production items than rough prototypes, so perhaps they're not far off!! Hopefully it will have the detail level of the M-41 and Tiger! Also very interesting that they're getting in to the movie licencing area. That could very well save the XD line by tying the toys into something the mass of customers would be familiar with. Most people, as we well know, don't care whether or not a plane or tank accurately matches up with its real-life historical counterpart. They want something they can relate to popular culture as opposed to academia. Still, the potential of Platoon figures will at least have the potential of putting out 1:18 scale Viet Nam figures once again. Whose up for a Charlie Sheen XD figure?

Thanks for the pics MK, great stuff. Is that Panzer IV for real? Is it 1/18th?????? If it is I see 5 customs just to start with. This tank was the main workhorse of the German Panzer Forces.

Interesting repaint on the PattonTank too...

Looks like they're getting into movie liscenses.....i hope that works for them.

I've decided the Mk IV and the green M113 are 1/18. I am very happy. I have also officially cancelled my Stug scratchbuild (thanks God).

What a day for new info!

Speechless

I am speechless. I wouldn't know where to begin. Let me just say thank you to 21st Century for the Panzer - I have been asking for years and my prayers have been answered. Really, thank you.

The MK IV is definately 1:18 scale. The dead give-away is the XD Kubelwagen next to it!

It's gonna get expensive fellas...........

yeah, i was afraid that was a 32x kubelwagen beside it. The clincher for me was the size of the shelf brace behind them. The tank has to be big and thus 1/18 scale.

The knights are spectacular. I gather they're 1/32 as there appears to be no articulation and they come with little bases. They put my Schleich knights to shame..

Another observation: There appear to be 13 total US Marine figures..i think we've only seen 9 up til now. The one in the picture in the bottom right hand corner may be a Japanese soldier.

Anyone with fancy computer skills blow this picture up and see?

It's the same name that is on my 1/18 P-38 !
I heard that one of the 21st Century Executives has a niece by that name.
Looks like she's getting more that her 15 minutes of fame

You know, i think those knights may be 1/18 scale. The one in this pic clearly has articulation.

If so i will be all over these puppies......the detailing is incredible!

I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much on the 21c stuff yet. They have a bad habit of showing us stuff that never gets produced. bbi on the other hand is pretty reliable. You can bet you will be seeing the Sherman and P-51 before Christmas. We may even see the new figures out. :)
I hope that 21st dose release some of the cool stuff their showing. I know the Panzer will sell well and any new figures will be good also.
