Well looks like bbi just stole the show. That Sherman is awesome and the engine detail puts it in a new category. Killer looks superb as well. That plane just looks great. WWII figures as well. I just don’t know what to say.
Looks like 21c is missing the boat.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I like the new boxes as well.

And it looks like they got rid of that gawd awful swivel elbow

The figure looks a bit odd. Is his mouth wide open? The sherman looks great. I really like the "extra" crates with ammunition inside.

Yea, he looks pissed off. Still his body looks great even if the expression on his face is a bit much. I just love the P-51 pilot though. The cover looks really good on him. I wonder if it comes off? From the looks of the photographs the detail on both the Sherman and the Mustang are very good. The rivets on the Mustang look great.
I can’t wait to get my hands on these things.

The one figure with the ultra ticked off expression I think is a mock up. I'd swear that's a Mace Windu head from a Hasbro Star Wars figure.

See:

(I haven't done a side by side comparison, but they look similiar at a quick glance!)

Your right. The modern soldier is definetly the mace windu head. I wonder if bbi will have to pay royalties if this product becomes available. Or maybe there might be a conspiracy between bbi and Hasbro.

Good call Jeff. It certainly is. I thought it looked familiar.

I am sure its just the mock-up figure. BBI will sculpt a new bald man screaming for the released version.

I am getting back into the hobby seeing those pics. Now, lets make more WWII Armor BBI...

Well, it sure looks like we are getting overpowered once again with all of the new stuff. This reminds me of when the Corsair first came out.

The P-51 looks awesome even though some of the angles are off and the gear is too small. Pretty sharp in my book anyways.

The Sherman is definately a step up.

It's gonna get expensive soon.............

Are in some way Star Wars. Like pointed out that the frist one is Mace, here is a reference from a Star Wars site http://www.rebelscum.com/sagamacegr.asp
Next two pictures like to me as the one left arms from Typho http://www.rebelscum.com/sagacaptaintypho.asp and the rest from Djas Puhr http://www.rebelscum.com/sagapuhr.asp
the one on the right is of a Snowtrooper and picture alone http://www.rebelscum.com/sw0319snowtrooper.asp
The one after that looks to be Luke Skywalker http://www.rebelscum.com/OTC01lukedagobah.asp
And the last one looks to be Anakin Skywalker http://www.rebelscum.com/sagaanakintatooineattack.asp

Maybe Jesse James can help me on this or any others that collect Star Wars, but I think I have picted them all out. I wonder if bbi and hasbro have a ties to one another some way.

no one mentioned the Kiowa......looks good.

What is the big modern tank with the turret off?

and what are those sci figures and the knights? Is that from some movie or something.

I noticed the mace windu but i figured that was from some new movie that he's in. One guy looks like he has a repainted snow trooper head..

That Sherman is awesome and almost makes me want to cancel my preorder for the new 21st repaint! The Mustang, however, is simply spetacular! I also like the pilot with interchangeable hats! That plane will be mine!!!

I still want to know what the modern tank with the turret off is...

I'm with Aferg, what is that....kinda like a challenger but the turret is weird...

i have a feeling it's supposed to be some futuristic tank to go along with those bizarre futuristic soldier figures, including the one with the mace windu head. The turrret isn't off of the tank, it's set at the back of the tank and where the tank turret would normally be is a recessed hatch. The whole thing looks kinda familiar and kinda weird at the same time....like the futuristic figures..

I swear one is a repainted Star Wars snow trooper with a 21c US flamethrower on his back. Interesting idea but.....wha??

I think it’s the Abrams chassis. The hole in the center is the same one I saw when I removed the turret on mine. I could be wrong but that’s what it looks like to me.

There's lots of parts mixed into those figures that are, without a doubt, quite plainly reused Star Wars parts... They're likely just prototypes, mock-ups, etc... Things that "big kids" like to use in place of the term "customs" because they make their figures as a way of getting the gist across to someone higher up.

It's not uncommon at all to see pre-production samples of figures (kitbashed and customized), but usually they're rough sculpts that are cast in resin. In this case, they're REALLY kitbashed items pulling pieces from other toy lines.

If they were to actually make a figure using these pieces, they'd be in breach of copyright laws as they're quite plainly casts of, or direct pieces of work done by a sculptor for another company. That is, in a nutshell, illegal on the most basic levels. BBI would have Hasbro on their ass faster than you can whistle dixie, believe that.

I think what you may be seeing is a lot of concept work... A lot of "what if you did (such & such)...", and just people getting in physical form (as fast as possible) a 3-D example of an idea or concept the company can market to the people who buy their product... IE: Retailers and Etailers.

I've personally NOT seen mock-ups using other toy company's product, but I know it's not uncommon to use it in a NON-public situation. I'm surprised they displayed those.

The one figure's head's quite clearly an Anakin Skywalker head actually, and a lot of those figures are CHEAP, like $1 or $2 a figure at your local KB cheap. Easy ways to get a base the sculptor just needs to tweak a little... Those have to be rough though. I'd be surprised if we're seeing the beginnings of an off-shoot Sci-Fi/military toy line personally. I think they're just attempts at other WW2 figure items, or an evolutionary process leading into those more traditional prototypes (hardcopies) that were seen in the images, like the dude with the Bazooka, the machine gunner, or the mortar dude.

Out of the images, I clearly see a POTF2 or Saga Snowtrooper, Mace WIndu's head (at least), Anakin Skywalker head, etc...

I wouldn't "panic" about those figures... Not yet. If you see something completely newly sculpted that still has the screaming feature and all that though, or that resembles a German flamethrower from an alternate universe... Then start worrying. :D

I too was curious about that weird tank. It didn't look like an Abrahams to me, but I dunno. I thought it was something different too.

In the end, I was just ecstatic to actually see NEW World War 2 figures... BBI just said to 21st Century Toys:

"What'd the 5 fingers, say to the face???? *SLAP!* I'm Rick James b**ch!"

:)

One guy's got the blades on his arm too. T he more I look at those, the more I wonder. I'll take a sci-fi military line or something, but... I'd take WW2 figures galore first. :P

It looks like a "What if WW2 didn't end in '45" kinda offshoot toy line... Weird thought, but, hey whatever... Custom fodder's custom fodder in my world.

I don't give a damn if they are Star Wars knock offs. I think they are pretty damn cool. I cannot wait. Now that I am making some good money I can spend it something I like.

I am very impressed with the WWII figures, I like the fact that the legs aren't staight like the modern figures, they look more realistic spread out a bit. Though these do give 21st a run for their money, 21st still has one up on them, because they are producing German stuff, and bbi is not, at least not yet. I love the bbi sherman as well and can't wait for the p-51 mustang. Now come on bbi, produce some axis stuff to go along with these great items.
