bbi figure question?

Post by momaw nadon » Tue Mar 11, 2008 9:14 pm

Does anyone know if these figures from bbi have shown up anywhere? Or were these just one of the many bbi items lost and never to be found ?

US Navy Delta Force JT Lucas ( 214-88 )
US Army Paratrooper ( 214-90 )
US Navy NBC Warrior ( 214-92 )
USMC 25th MEU SOC Johnny Lopez ( 215-66 )
CIA Paramilitary CC Langer ( 215-67 )
USMC Force Recon Sniper WR Hadley ( 215-68 )
US Army 10th Mountain Division Ben Robinson ( 215-69 )
USMC Omar Delgado ( 215-70 )

Thanks

I believe all of these figures have shown up, albeit sporadically, at Toys R Us. I just saw JT Lucas at TRU last week. The asst. of newer paratroopers was also there.

I don't believe the two have been found at all:

US Navy NBC Warrior ( 214-92 )
USMC 25th MEU SOC Johnny Lopez ( 215-66 )

Lucas, Robinson, Delgado and the new paras have been available in my area for some time now (Northern, CA). Lucas is the only figure that is somewhat difficult to find. The others are readily available. :D

Several of these figures have never made it to retail. The ones in bold below are the only ones that have actually been offered for sale. Toys R Us carried all of them at least for a while, although they are all hard to find now.

US Navy Delta Force JT Lucas ( 214-88 ) - Yes, available at TRU
US Army Paratrooper ( 214-90 ) - Exists only as a prototype
US Navy NBC Warrior ( 214-92 ) - Exists only as a prototype
USMC 25th MEU SOC Johnny Lopez ( 215-66 ) - Exists only as a prototype
CIA Paramilitary CC Langer ( 215-67 ) - Exists only as a prototype
USMC Force Recon Sniper WR Hadley ( 215-68 ) - Yes, available at TRU
US Army 10th Mountain Division Ben Robinson ( 215-69 ) - Yes, available at TRU
USMC Omar Delgado ( 215-70 ) - Yes, available at TRU

The last three were part of that weird sale where TRU offered them for 70 cents apiece. I have 6 of each one of those. The JT Lucas figure was not part of that sale, and I've seen him occasionally at stores along with the Delta and Navy Seal paratroopers that were not mentioned in the list above.

The figure with the ball cap that is available at TRU is not 21567 CC Langer, it is 21718 William Thomas. That figure has been out for about a year.

You've seen these too?

US Army Paratrooper ( 214-90 ) - Exists only as a prototype
US Navy NBC Warrior ( 214-92 ) - Exists only as a prototype
USMC 25th MEU SOC Johnny Lopez ( 215-66 ) - Exists only as a prototype
CIA Paramilitary CC Langer ( 215-67 ) - Exists only as a prototype

I wish BBI would update their website every now and then.

Oh ok, those other 4 are out here too. Haha they've been out for a while and they are non-existant on the bbi site.

These have been Out Of Production for a long time, ebay is the way to go and even then are rarely seen and probably go for a pretty penny

If we're lucky BBI might consider re-releasing this Delta CQB "Lucas", Delta Para "Lynch" and Seal Diver "Davies", all nice figs and pretty sure they'll be popular

Saw this thread and the comment about figures at TRU and nearly jumpped - then realized it was from 2008 :?

Anyways, gouchy is correct in that these figures have been OOP for a few years, but they are some of BBI's best modern figures if you can track them down. Excellent paint jobs, uniforms, and equipment details.

When they were available at TRU initially, there was some nationwide pricing glitch and the figures went to discount immediately. I want to say TRU eventually corrected this, but for a while, you could get them for under $2. The US Navy Delta Force JT Lucas was seemingly the rarest of the bunch with the others being more plentiful. I bought a lot for custom work.

The USMC Force Recon Sniper WR Hadley body is being reused as the Navy Seal figure that comes with the new BBI MH-60 Blackhawk. Many retailers seem to be offering these seperate from the helicopter set, so we can collect a few. The USMC Force Recon Sniper and Seal figures appear to be exactly the same save the Seal has a different paintjob, a beard, and different weapons. The Hadley figure had a very nice M-14 Sniper rifle with bipod.

He had the updated M21 I believe. These guys are great, and TMan's right - they were dirt cheap right out the gate, like 2 bucks or less. It was one of those amazing moments in 1:18 collecting history...
