Post by V2 MAN » Sun Mar 02, 2008 6:52 pm

Also what new vehicle do you think they should release? Id love to see a new type of hanomag like a Sdkfz.7 or a panzer111 to go with our dak troops. 8) So what do yall think :?:

As far as re-releases go at TRU, I'd love to the AH-1W in the "Marine land cammo" paintscheme, or even better, something new. The Supercobra really is the best 1:18 helicopter yet produced, but it saw such a short and somewhat limited release back in 2003-2004.

One more vote for the SuperCobra. A Spitfire would be very welcome also.

new release

Post by ARMY GROUP 1 » Mon Mar 03, 2008 12:15 am

I say we need a new release and I would push hard for a 7,8,16 ton prime mover. Once the KT & 88 hype is over at this rate we will have nothing else to look forward to, unless you armor guys are saying with these latest additions, this will complete your collections and you will be getting on with your lives. I could be satisfied with a prime mover, Jadgpanther and a stug.

As far as repaints for aircraft, I would like to see a Gabrieski P-47 and a Spitfire repaint. As for reworks, I would like to see a FW109A, a P-51B, a F4U-4 Corsair and a Spitfire Mk IX. These are planes that I would think would be guaranteed sellers and relatively safe in terms of risk for the toy companies, yet something new for everybody to get excited about.

All of the above,, I really want to see russian troops and a t-34. Kubel, kettingrad, elephant, DAK panzer, or tiger, fallschirmjagers with new articulation, possibly even winter fallschirms, then some brits, red devils or crete brits to go with the tan fallschirms. I also was waiting for a japanese tiki tank to go with the figures but it never happened. But right now the most important thing to me is seeing russians, winter or not, i just want to see them. What about a german scout car? Pershing? Even a landing craft, Higgins boat? For d-day.

I'd like to see a re-release/repaint of the 21st 1/18 Century Sherman. It's obvious on SSHQ that there is demand for the FOV 1/18 Sherman, but many are unable to find the FOV Sherman and those who have bought it say it's inferior to 21st Century's Sherman.

I agree---I'd like to se a 1/18 or 1/32 Gabreski P-47D---unfortunately this may not occur because 21st has already released a similar Dave Schilling 1/32 P-47D in a dual pack.

1st choice - definitely a 1:18 Gabareski or Schilling P-47.

2nd - any P-51B but Don Gentile's "Shangri La" would be a huge seller and Howard's "Ding Hao" is a personal favorite.

3rd - later model Corsair (4 blade).

But - where is the B-25?

Flytiger why are you knocking Gentile's B-mount? I got to support the hometown hero. That is probably the first B I would buy.

I would really like for 21st Century to release their F-86 in Canadian markings. That would be a great looking CL-13.

The backbone of the panzer arm...
a STUG III or IV and a HETZER
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.
