The Puma turret has been updated as well with an improved hatch mechanism, smoke grenade launcher slits, proper turret ring fit helps it snap right on with good rotation, MG blister is now on the correct side of the main gun, hatch optics face forward, and the turret sides have been rounded for a much more accurate look (thanks Normandy!).
Get it and the rest of the Puma here:

For those of you that ordered Puma's already, I mailed out the updated turrets today.

The turret is sitting on the Puma / Sd.Kfz 234 chassis, right where it belongs..
I'm exited about the 38t as well. It initially wasn't that interesting to me, other than as a Hetzer base. I got hooked on them after I purchased the 1:32 version from 21st Century. It's such a perfect little tank and there were gobs of them crawling all over Europe early in the war and they pretty much stayed in the fight right until the very end in various forms through Ausf upgrades and different upper deck variations.
This one will have a neat twist as well that should help lower the cost. Instead of a big flat bottom that will use a lot of cubic mm of 3D WSF material, there will be no bottom plate. Instead there will be tabs that allow anyone that wants a bottom to glue a thin styrene panel for $1-2$ instead of paying for it to be done in 3D. This will also allow easy access for anyone that wants to do an interior.

DUDE! That is a FANTASTIC Idea! You should implement that on all future models. Cut out plates that would normally be unseen but can easily be measured and styrene added!

Interesting idea Jnew. Here is one in 1:35 that looks fantastic. How those guys get those details at that scale is amazing.

Here is the first print of the 38t Ausf E. Everything turned out great. The hinges on the driver hatch need to be strengthened and the hull machine gun is MIA. Once those are fixed, she'll be available.
Stowage like tools and extra track links are included but not shown in this picture. The turret snaps in and rotates 360 degrees and the main gun elevates.

Wow Grunt that looks Great, the detail stands out. Nice job!
Is there a possibility of a Hetzer in the future?

That looks awesome
I will definitely get this kit when its available. The Panzer 38T, for whatever reason, is a favorite tank of mine and I've wound up with multiples of the excellent 21c 32x model. We sorely need early-war tanks in 1:18 and this one will be great to have!
Now you need to tackle the US M-5 Stuart, oh, and a Hetzer

I am always amazed at what you can produce.
What are you looking at producing next?

For Christmas Mrs. Normandy had ordered me the Flak 28 and Nebelwerfer, a few days before Christmas
she got an email from shapeways saying they could not be printed and payment would be refunded.
I think some of the stuff must be to fragile.

Certain parts can be fragile if you push too hard. It is a very light and thin vehicle compared to the stuff Picklehaube makes. But it has to be to keep printing costs down. It is still pretty strong and flexible as the material is classified and Grunt did a nice job of making a very nice model with this method. You could pretty much have the kit put together in a day if you wanted; Grunt did a great job making it simple as far as assembly is concerned. I will admit when i first took it out of the box i was afraid I might break the thing with a wrong move, but the more i handle it the more resilient I find it to be. The only thing i could really complain about (and it is no ones fault just how it is made in the printer and the material) is the printing lines that show up on some spots and the surface can look a little rough. I am slowly sanding mine with fine paper just to give it a smoother look.

Acetone smooths out those lines well.

Looks great! You should send that to Mathew and see if he can carefully take it apart and make a mold of it!
