I recently ordered two of Aracula's kits which arrived on Thursday and I'm very impressed with them. :salute:
The build should be very quick, the choice of camo scheme my take a while....
I'll post some pics this weekend.

Looking good so far Normandy and please keep posting pictures all, I would like to see what everyone does with the kits they got. I hope all are happy with them, I know they are not perfect and take a bit of work to really make them into a nice Stug, but I know you guys can do it. Also recommend Green Putty, and Apoxie sculpt for filling gaps, and smoothing out any flaws, they both work really well.

Also guys I am looking for just the 88 gun from a tiger tank, am willing to pay for one if someone has one in good shape they want to part with. Just pm me and we will work out a payment for it.

Thanks again all who bought a Stug, I am working on more projects at this time and learning from my mistakes on molding and building in general, and will improve the kits as I go.

I have the barrel and mantlet from the 21st Tiger I, is that what you need or the part from inside the turret?

Yep can not wait to see it.

I would have not made it with the mounting holes for accessories, if I would have known people would rather have them not there, sorry about that normandy.

Those mounting holes are not big deal, don't worry about it my friend, some people like them that way, some other will prefer to get them covered.

It' hard to please everyone, tastes and preferences are unique on each individual, otherwise automotive companies would make red cars only, (for example).

Aracula, regrading the mounting holes they're are fine, I filled them because I may move some
the equipment to different locations on the tank.
I didn't have as much time this weekend as I would have liked, but I changed a few things.

I wanted the drivers hatch to open, so I cut out the existing one and put in a new one. I just need to
put hinges on it.

Image

I also replaced the commanders hatch with the one from the Panzer IV turret. Nether is very clear in the pic.

Aracula made this kit so it could also be used on the (knock off) RC Panzer IV, the green one with fenders...the one on the right.

If your not using that model you will need to fill in the two cut outs.

Looking good Normandy! I've been working on mine, save for the past few days and so far so good. Seeing your build pics, Normandy, gives me a good point of reference :D

I'm mounting mine on a 21c RC Panzer IV Chasis, so it will have the basic RC functions, save the sounds. I do not plan to add the schurzen on mine as I don't have any spare rails.

Here are some pictures of my Stug IV kit build in progress, namely showing construction, sanding, and priming. More to come as I get it painted and weathered 8)

Given that my airbrush is pretty basic and can't really take on a complex scheme with wavy lines or an ambush pattern, I have to go with something relatively basic... When done, mine will likely turn out something close to this:

Panzer Division "Müncheberg" Berlin, April 1945

But then again, looking at photographs, models, and even my 21c toys, it is abundantly clear that there is no real "wrong" way to do WWII German panzer camouflage given the endless variety of patterns they used...

Can't wait to see your end result, Normandy :D I also like how you lowered the driver's box. Looking good so far!

On a related note, after spending a few hours with it, I've gotten mine painted and partly weathered.

All Crewed Up

I decided to go with a late-war three tone camouflage scheme, drawing inspiration from the camo on the S4 21c Panther tank (the one with #332 on the turret). I used Tamiya acrylic paints, including Dark Yellow for the base coat; Olive Green and Red Brown for the stripes; and Flat Earth for the weathering. I may eventually add more weathering to the upper hull, but I'm almost content just to leave it. I had intended the tank to be RC, however, upon completion when I attempted a test run, one of the drive sprocket gears appears to be stuck, likely caused by some glue that may have dripped down there during construction... That aside, I am quite happy with this model...

Aracula, you made a great kit that was fun to build :D

About a week or so ago, I revisited my Stug IV and decided to lower the driver's box, since as you can see in my initial pics, it sat a little too high... That turned into a bigger project than I anticipated and required a bit of additional puttying and sanding in that area and oc course, a partial repaint of the model. In the end, things came together well, and I added some more weathering effect.

Below are some updated pictures of my Stug IV model. Enjoy :D

That looks great tman, you did a really nice job on it. I have yet to finish one for myself as I have been to busy, but I hope to soon, and after seeing you guys pictures it just makes me want to get one done even more.

Again great job guys, really nice looking Stugs.

Looking great so far, Normandy!

I wonder if Aracula would be up to making a schurzen set with racks? I've got a simple-looking set that were laser cut from styrene by a board member probably a decade ago that hang on the racks on thee S1 Panzer IV, but given that the RC Panzers don't have the racks, it would be great to have a reproduction of the part.
