Oh god please be the F-15, that's already tooled and is smaller than the F-14 by a decent amount.
I'd buy that pre-order instantly.

And I'll be able to say "the Eagle has landed"

I hate optimism, in the face of certain pessimism.

Has anyone done a checker-nose 190 before in 1/18? I don't recall ever seeing one but I don't collect the scale and so may have overlooked it.

If not, that is a scheme I would buy in 1/32 if I don't end up building one myself.

Well, the week isn't over yet if indeed Jim actually mentioned announcing it this week. If I recall correctly, I think he just said April.

Merit is going to be at a big model show next weekend in Atlanta. Maybe they are going to announce it then.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing too. I even posted the question on their Facebook site awhile ago but got no answer. Even though its a show about armor and tanks they may just announce it then. April 18-20

Anyone know where in Atlanta? I live only 40 miles out and those dates might actually fall on trip already planned into the ATL.

I'm still hoping for the F-4 Phantom. It's a big mean bird with a lot of history.

As much as I would love to see the F-4 Phantom produced. I think the rights to the prototype we saw earlier belonged to Admiral Toys. However, its possible that JSI was behind its creation but it was never advertised as so. Meanwhile, the F-15 and Su-27/J-11 were. Since the F-15 is a bit smaller and likely easier to mass produce then the Su-27/J-11 I'm betting that will indeed be the next release.

This is what we know so far based on what Jim has told us....

1) Its a jet..."obviously" lol
2) It is of a twin engine exhaust design
3) Its being produced by JSI
4) It won't be an A-10
5) It will have spots all over...lol ex."F-15 Spotted Eagle" jk

*Note:
If I missed anything in the list above please share.

I also believe it will more then likely be the F-15 based on what information out there. With that being said I still hope/wish/dream about a F-4 Phantom.

Welllll, we know that Admiral built a F-4 prototype and displayed it at Toy Fair long ago and far away. My pic is:

At the time they told me it was "in the works", just like the Admiral monster Skyraider prototype they showed at the same TF show, and the 21C B-25....... What could have been...... I blame it on me because I am very picky about my planes and don't collect many. Sorry guys....
