POST M113 APC SIGHTINGS AND DISCUSSION HERE!
Anyone who is planning to retro the m113 back to vietnam era, I could use a few extra of the combat identification panels. I'll be using them on desert vehicles, so desert is preferable, but they would be easy to paint I guess.
I don't have alot to trade, I have been casting the BBI webgear pouches, and a gijoe anti-tank mine so I have a bunch of those, I also have a spare 50 cal from the BBI desert buggy...

Re: Finds in Central Texas
The Georgetown WM had several of the M113's at full price-but no planes at all.

M113
Hello,
How about some pictures, surely someone must have a dig camera. I am stumped that the M113's have not made it to EBAY. It does not make any sense.
Thanks, BD6

shady
It is a deceptive auction because I don't see where he says the item DOESN'T look like the pictures. He probably has stock photos of a smaller scale model that 21C based their's on - likely Tamiya.
Ebay pics
Digger is right, check out the pics for the tamiya 1/35 model also on ebay.

I wrote the seller an email, here is what I said:
"Isn't this a photo of the Tamiya 1/35 US M113A2 APC? I would love to see of photo of the item you are actually selling."
And here is his responce:
"I'ts exactly the same.
Thank You
Mark Miller"
Thats it. No explaination. No picture. Lame. And I agree, it's a very deceptive listing.

figures
Another member mentioned that seller's a jerk, so no surprise...
the figures on the tan version of the M113 are green in uniform and they're not that high quality. they don't sit very well as the uniform's rubber doesn't allow the legs to bend 90°. the equipment hanging on the sides i find to be slighlty too big for 1/18, more like 1/16 scale. the 50 calibre is very generic, it's probably the worse 50 calibre mold so far.
again as mentioned, all the parts can be taken off and with some putty you can easily convert it to a vietnam era apc

M113
I love the idea of removable equipment as it allows you to easily add your own instead and/or paint the equipment while it's not sitting on your vehicle.

Pictures please!
Could someone please buy one from Walmart and sell it on ebay so we can finally see a boxed picture!
What an ass. I'll have to put him on my do no business with list.
I wrote him a second email, this time I said:
"I have seen pictures of the 1:18 scale M113 APC at http://69.93.119.2/photo/1/showphoto.ph ... 823&page=1
It is not "exactly the same." The scale, obviously, is different, the figures it comes with are different, paint job is different, the markings are different, the strap on accessories are different and they are painted different. You are showing a photo of a Tamiya 1/35 US M113A2 APC. While I don't question the authenticity of your auction, I would love to see photos of the actual item you are selling."
And his responce was:
"Then you don't need anything more from me."
Like I said, what an ass.
