I'm having trouble tracking that T34 down but thank you for the suggestion Aferg... I'd like to have a well rounded 1/16 collection, and a T34 kinda is important. Funny to only have a KV1 up there as the only soviet rep.

Oh, and gotta track that Sturmtiger down now too. What an oddity.

sturmtiger is out of production right now. It will probably be back within a year or so.

the WSN t-34's seem to be drying up. If you're keen on one i wouldn't delay as i don't know if they'll be back or not.

here's one:

sounds like it should run fine

The winter whitewashed T-34's are extremely difficult to find. I got lucky a while back and got one at a good price.

Are the tracks vinyl tracks or individual links on that T-34?

That SU-85 looks awesome! Do you happen to know who makes the conversion?

Ummm, that is an SU-100 instead of a SU-85. Could be determined as a SU-85M but the superstructure is a SU-100.

Absolutely! Thats the great thing about 1/16. There is very little you cannot get in the way of accessories. I'll have to do a little research to come up with where I got it. Had it for a couple of years and just can't remember at the moment. Ordered it from one of the tank RC sites in either England or Germany. I will eventually get started on mine. The kit would not look out of place on a 1/18 Panther. Here you go.
As I received the kit.

This is close as you get to directions.

I will say that the black piece (at least it looks black) in the photo is not in the kit, at least not in mine. Looks like a piece of black electrical wire would work perfectly though.

that's pretty neat. I just read that IR equipped panthers were used for a night assault on a soviet infantry position during the early stages of the battle of berlin. That might look cool on the JSI panther, though i don't know if any panthers of that scheme were equipped with it.

What's the note about that says they cannot make a direct sale of the item and will have to contact you after you order.

He does this as a hobby ... not his only income because I do believe he has a full-time job.

I have purchased many things from Phil over the past few years and he has always come through, never let a customer down, and stands behind what he sells as he checks tanks before they are sent out the door.

So yes, give him a break and he will get back with you.

Got my Porsche-turret King Tiger yesterday... Now I see what all the rave is about the R/C 1:16 tanks :D They're not quite 1:18 and certainly the tank doesn't have all the opening hatches, etc that my 1:18 Tigers and Panzers do - but otherwise, its a pretty accurate tooling, it moves realistically, makes sounds & smoke, and shoots BBs 8)

The cammo is pretty nice as well. It turned out to be much more muted and flat than what was shown on the box picture. There is room for customization, though I'm not sure how much I'll do at this point... I know I'm not going to use the commander figure & will replace it with a 21c Tanker (they're pretty much the same size & proportion).

Now I'm hooked on a new scale and vehicle line (thank you very much fellow collectors!) and will have to get other 1:16 R/C armor

I know I go on and on about the accessories for 1/16 but there is a downside. You can quickly spend twice the original cost of the tank on metal barrels (won't shoot BB's anymore), metal tracks, etc. I probably have tended to go on to much here the last couple of years that the majority of the 1/18 figures look great with 1/16 armor.

Mine arrives Friday...

I've got a long list of "next" buys, haha. It's really a toss-up between KV1, Stug, Jagdpanther, and Shermie... Shermie's are my fav but pricier. Stug's a beauty. KV1's weird. Jagdpanther's a beast but fairly common.
