Definitely like the WGr21. They look great. I've been wanting a set of these for the Graf 109 to replace the cannons. Template would be a nice touch. Please let us know when these are ready to order!

Update. The Bomb Dolly kit should be home when I finish work. Looks like I may need to rethink the wheel pins though.
Also just ordered the WGr21 Rocket test sample.

The proper wheel pins are soon to arrive (Along with the first WGr21 kit), but here's the basic model fitted together. I can see a few areas were it needs improving, to help with the manufacturing but overall worked out well. Will hopefully get her painted by this weekend.

Yes that looks great, we'll need some Luftwaffe ground crew to go with it. :)

Great photos Normandy. I have been researching digitizing figure models, so they can then be 3d printed. There are a few processes for mapping organic shapes but I'm not close to having anything usable yet, still just playing around with things.

I've been busy with crap, but managed to start the shading on the Bomb Dolly.

Some things that i want to change:
The bomb needed weight added to the nose, so i ended up stuffing tissue into the tail (to take up volume). I then added metal filings (I have a jar full, from work). The thing with metal filings is that i can push it into recesses. So I may need to add some sort of feature to make adding weight to the nose easy.
The wheels were a pain to glue together / putty / sand. Would be a lot easier to make the tire one piece, and make the wheel hubs separate.

It's looking good so far. I think simplification in building as well as the production process (for cost purposes) are goals that should be set. It looks pretty darn good though. Are you making a bomb for with it?

Jay,
What is the current status of the WGr21 project? Any pics yet? Can you also post ordering information on these items?
Thanks, Mike

Yes, although you'll have to add weight to the nose so that it will balance on the loading arm

Unfortunately my first print got rejected during the print stage. I have updated my cad model but haven't bought another print yet. I'm also updating the bomb dolly, so I want to order them at the same time ( to save on the shipping costs).

Updated photos (Sorry, my photo skills aren't the best. Rendering a CAD image is so much easier!). One other issue i have noticed is that the arm has actually slowly sunk down. The nose of he bomb is weighted so......need to beef this area up as well
I still haven't reordered an updated kit yet. My real work is still a priority at the moment but it looks like i have caught up with the work load.

Just a thought. Who would be interested in fully built & painted kits?

I've temporarily put everything on the back burner, as my design work has picked up again. Everything is ready and waiting for me to get back to them though.
