Yeah that's my take too... not perfect, but really nice as it is, pretty close... I can look past the soft top on it for sure. It's a nice size, loads of detail... I'm ok with that. I've seen so many great repaints and total restructuring. If I have an extra I may try to make it a soft top too, just to make it a little more accurate. I'll live with the window as-is I think.

Love the German 4WD too... Both really added to the 1:18 support vehicle world since, well, it was basically ignored except for halftracks.

I agree, it is too bad, we have a good German truck in 1/32 and 1/6, but nada in 1/18.... oh well.
Here is my 1/6 Opel Blitz. Crappy version, I never finished it because I could never find wheels that looked right for the truck. The original wheels are crap. A second Oh Well...

don't mistake my points for criticism. I quite like the hasbro truck. To me it looks great. Like motorcycles and rifles, all trucks sorta look the same to me anyway and i think it's just dandy. I just wish they had come out with a dark yellow or desert sand repaint of it.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Not much to contribute here, just thought I'd share an image that I saw this morning. Looks like that one of the potential candidates for the Indy truck is still in existence and in working order. Photo courtesy of the Dutch AFV Modelers Organization.

A little slicing and dicing with a wheel hub change out I could make it work .

I thinks.

Your 4WD there is still my favorite rendition of that... Really sharp looking. T he doors add a lot to it.

I believe the truck pic Panzerarm posted is the Herschel Type 33.

The Germans built more than 10,000 of these trucks from 1933 to 1941 but they were so well built, they served through and beyond WW2. Margirus also built 3,800 copies of the G3 from 1938 to 1941.
