I saw a P-51 box this am high on shelf at walmart; I notice a blue cowling on it and bring it down. It is marked Lou IV on cowl AND it is of the first model design (fat wings that clip on midway out from fusilage). It is in the current box with pictures of avenger, f-104 on back. No olive drab on wings like the early 1/32nd offering.

WHERE did this come from????????????
Easy... some bozo swapped out planes and returned the box with the wrong plane in it. You are talking about the 1:18 version, right?....

Oh yeah, that makes perfect sense, I also saw the 1/32 german troop carrier kit with two stealth fighters and little green stick army figures taped inside too. Apparently, some numbnut with absolutely no f...ing life whatsoever is at it again.

Get this...I pull into an older WM at lunch... a new one is set to open down the road. They have two black 109's up on a shelf marked $15 each. No problem, I talk to the department manager and they are getting ready to move and these two are not scheduled to go to the new store. But... I walk around the corner, and there are 4 BBD's, plus a Huff, a Tiger 104 and the new silver 104. Just for grins I take one to a price checker... $15. I check them all...$15.
But ... and this kills me... I can only get one of the 104's cause I'm driving this little mazda convertible and can only fit one box in the trunk.
I am going back tomorrow with a larger car! :D

AAAAAAAGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!
I went back first thing this morning with a larger car.
As I walked up to the toy aisle, here was this pimply-faced stockboy with a bunch more BBD's, Huff's and both kinds of 104's.
He grinned at me as he finished carefully re-pricing them all back to $39.95.
I think I will go and drown myself now.

My oldest daughter, her boyfriend and I once walked into WM and found ALL the XD figure pegs marked $1.50, probably from a previous clearance, and they had just restocked the pegs with Marines and BOB figures! So naturally I had to scan one and it came up full price. In the meantime I had my daughter put them in the cart while I went looking for the toy manager with one figure in hand, for some clarification!
The manager returned with me to the aisle (daughter and cart nowhere in site) and said "Oh no, the marked price ($1.50) is a mistake! But I will let you have that ONE for that price!" I said "But, I have more than just this one!" She said "How many do you have?" I said "All of them!" WOW, you should have seen her face! She told me to let them know at checkout about the mistake and that I could have them for $1.50 each!
I walked out with 52 figures! That was worth the trip to WM that day!

Blurx7,
Man, I feel your pain!
Nothing more frustrating than Walmart...

But I will have to say that I have scored more deals from Walmart's inept staff and their slacker attitude on correctly pricing product on a consistant basis.

So, you lost out today. Keep your eye on the next WM cause I know they will misprice some XD or other product to your advantage! There are too many of us and not enough of them!

The 3 W.M.'s in my A.O. that I check offen all had the new selection of nothing 1/18.
That's right no BBD, F86, F104, Migs, etc. The last A.C. that we had was the Atlantic TBF.
Wow, we are so lucky here in Central N.J.

That's right up there with the day I found they had just stocked Spitfires, and they rang up as $5 each. Ended up walking out with 12 that day.

I don't anticipate these kinds of deals happening once 21C is back at TRU, but as long as distribution improves, I won't mind.

I got one of the 21st old crows today, just seems too damn long since I bought something in 1/18th- Easy on me, please, for those who like to write seemingly endless posts to win a nitpicking point-- I realize I have not had the migs and sabres forever, but this is just too damned addictive

Anyway, the old crow only has one obligatory fingerprint on it, on the bottom. The BBD just does'nt even begin to jump out and grab my wallet when I walk by.

WTF?? Why do my Wal Marts only have the occasional Huff or F-104? Where are the P-51s (both types for pete's sake!) and the PH P-40s? Hell, even a Mig? Oh well, it seems that this time of year you guys in the eastern half of the country get all the goodies. At least, perhaps, the new 32x planes will show in my area, as they usually do! Then I'm going to hoard them
