Anyone heard about this? A new entrant albeit in 1/12 scale. Looks interesting. Very keen to see how the final products look like when they hit the shelves.

BTW, any notice anything familar mentioned towards the end of the article?

The figures resemble other previously released 1/12 figures, but the prior figures were modern military.

Now the vehicles seem to have potential.....especially the 1/12 SUB!!!

i would be interested.

articulation, detail and quality will be the key.

also where will they be sold at?

keep me posted.

holy crap a 1/12 P-51 Mustang fighter and F-16 and the mother of holy craps a 1/12 U-boat

"
"To kick off their 1/12 scale Weapons line, Wildfire will offer a German Tiger I tank. Wildfire is very excited about the potential of this line and believe it will offer subjects that collectors and young "generals" alike have hungered for many years. Future releases will be:

German 75mm anti-tank gun with crew

German rocket launcher (Nebelwerfer) with crew

U.S. Sherman tank

German 88mm anti-tank gun and crew

P-51 Mustang fighter

F-16 Fighting Falcon

"Down the road we have even grander plans" states Wildfire president Andrew Ferguson. "We intend to produce a German U-boat to the same scale as our other offerings. It will be a waterline model and will come in several sections which snap together? in all it should be around 18 feet long, very exciting! It can be easily disassembled for convenient storage."

Certainly some great figure news and a company to keep your attention focused on this year. Wildfire Toys will be releasing further prototype pictures in the months ahead, but have offered you an exciting sneak peek at a few of their projects in work. Stay tuned here for further breaking developments!

don't get excited gang. Wildfire Toys died on the vine long, long ago. That article is almost 7 years old.

Please note the mention of the idea about different sets of arms and legs for each figure. It was a few months later that 21c came out with that feature (well for the arms anyway) on their XD line and a couple of years later Dragon did it on their 1/18 Action line. ;)

Damn, and I thought Aferg was getting us set up for April 1st :)

I still like the modular sub idea--even if someone would do one in 1/32 or maybe not modular and in 1/72.

the modular idea is quite feasible in 1/18....the box wouldn't even be all that big. At this point i doubt it will ever happen though (unless i win the lottery).

Like Aferg already posted in this thread: Wildfire Toys (the military kind, not the adult kind) was a company that died on the vine years ago, before it ever got rolling. Pity, that...
