Wonder if they fixed the exhaust on the Littlebird? If i'm not mistaken (I probably am) they had the central exhaust covered up with a cone. I think it was actually a South African bird? :?

Excellent news. I'm really looking forward to that new LB - like the BH it's a Helo I could really play - -er, set-up with my figures. 8)

Usually the bbi comes in waves, so hopefully the Humvee and Hellcat are not far behind! :D

Never can have too many LBs, and this is one my special ops definitely need.

I just opened and assembled my Checkerboard Corsair. I'm finding poor quality painting all around the plane, but especially bad jobs on the national insignia and MARINES. They have really bad blurry edges and don't cover the blue underneath very well, same with the checkboard itself. Then there’s the oily residue from paint thinner which is all over the place. Also there are a many bad looking, obvious cover ups and fingerprints galore.

I Know BBI makes good planes, don't get me wrong. This was just a lemon but what a dissapointment.

Edit. The rightside tailwheel cover just fell off as the pin is broken. I barely touched it. :x :(

Mustang and Corsair look sweet. I just hope they have since fired the workers who defaced my F4U. :(

Wandered into TRU and found new LB

Post by markecho » Wed Jan 24, 2007 11:59 am

Was suprised to find this. Glad they came out with this version with seats...now will they do some Delta operators from BHD?

Didn't put it together cuz don't have the room, but better to get it now at retail than later. Fast ropes look cool and possibly easily adaptable for the Blackhawk. Pilot looks kinda plain, looks like they didn't do the weathering.

Heh why do companies more than likely put 2 seater vehicles with 1 pilot/driver...

Here are pics for those who are interested in seeing it up close a little more. The seats fold down from the position they are in.

Very cool..... looks like there have been quite a few revisions/additions to this offering. I like it, I'll have to grab a couple of these.

This is at TRU, no?

Very cool! Glad to see they're in California as well. TRU tends to have better distribution, so looks I might have to hit a couple soon. The Spec Ops Littlebird looks great! The figure is a little disappointing - I was hoping it would come with the new "Night Stalker" pilot. Those are what I would certainly use with this new helo!

One of my local TRUs had some on Monday. Mine is still in the box. This is the LB they should have made in the first place - glad they finally did!

I like how they have "death waits in the dark" painted on the windscreen framing. I also like that they removed the cone over the exhaust and deleted the sensor pod. I was worried they would just leave these on from the last versions. Great job BBI. 8)

Markecho, thanks as always for the pics.
The pilot is actually a worse version than the earlier Desert pilots - paint ops look odd. Overall though I see this bird as the best $20 you can spend in our hobby right now.

They did give us a wannabe BHD guy with the USMC Buggy. He had the helmet, body armor and the likeness of Eric Bana! Only problem was he had the old skinny legs and funky arms. BBI figs have come a long way in that short time if only in proportion.
Time to bash some Delta guys (check out the helmet on "Barrel Roll" from the new DTC Joes)...

Heading to TRU tomorrow. I hope they have a few of these guys here. Wonder if there will be any Nightstalker pilots left on the shelf.

Hey guys. Anyone heard anything from BBI about when the 1/18th Hellcat is going to be released? Has anyone heard from Mike at BBI period? I saw awhile back pics of a Corsair and Mustang in new paint schemes from BBI but since then nothing, not a word. How long has it been since BBI released anything new?

Found three of these today. Wanted to buy a second one, but decided to wait (for now) . Not quite sure of what to make of the pilot - seems pretty weak compared to other BBi offerings.
