I was at the Centereach WM, 2 weeks ago when I bought my Avenger. There were 8 of them back then. I had mentioned this before, that shortly after I took the Avenger that I wanted, a couple came by and grabbed 5 of them and loaded up their shopping cart. I have not been to that store since then.

stopped by WM today and saw a Sky Captain P40 :? . Either some more of these are shipping out (I heard there was another one spotted in teh area recently), or all sorts of stuff is going to show up with the toy department reorgs.

I found some Avengers at the WM in Monticello Indianna. (Along with the dogfight set in 32X.) Alot of Bubbletops, Fw-190's, ME-109's, a M-48 tank, OMG and Japanese figures.

One of those has also surfaced at one of the stores in my town as well. Recently, at least 3 stores in Fresno have gotten in restocks of the 1:18 Bunker Hill Corsairs and Tropical Stukas. There's also still plenty of 32x Brumbars, Panzer IVDs, and Zeros & Macchis of varying types - and this is after the resetting. Its kind of annoying knowing that better stuff is out there in my state.

Just 12 miles outside of town in the only small Wal Mart for an outlying community, there was a better selection of some of the new products (including a space for the Avenger) than in any of the four Wal Marts in my town. I think I'll just keep hitting this store as the drive is not unreasonable

I found the Flying Undertaker Mustang and the Smoke II F-104 today. They also had a diecast M-48 Patton.

Kamikaze
Sounds like San Antonio is getting all the good stuff right now and Houston is stuck with Corsair and Stuka repaints. No new Avenger, Smoke II or Flying Undertaker yet. I may have to make a road trip to SA if stuff doesn't start showing up here soon. It might be cheaper on gas than driving all over Houston. Did you look to see if the prop was bent on the Undertaker?

Yes I found them at Wallyworld. They have just completed resetting the toy section of the store. I'm sure these will show up in your areas soon.

KAGNEW, I wonder if that's the VA WM I dragged my family through during our overnight stop last year as we travelled to NC for vacation. Sure sounds like it, but at this point I don't recall where we were. Had a great selection of 21C though!

The Walmart in Maseppequa, Long Island (no idea how to spell it) has 2 Mustang Ridgerunners, 2 Luftwaffe Starfighters, 1 Seeman BF-109, and 1 Michaelski FW-190. No Avengers.

If you intend to find an Avenger in Long Island, then I would suggest you venture out to the one in Centereach, which is a Super WM. Otherwise you may have to resort to E-Bay.

Moth, thanx for that intel...I've been lookin' for a P51 RR...what I'm really hoping to see is the Flying Undertaker, won't hold my breath...PS, demetrop, I don't think that Centereach is actually considered a SuperWM, but I think the WM they want to open in Commack will be (if community opposition doesn't torpedo its arrival!)...in any case, as of Friday evening, there are no Avengers (or any other XD aircraft) at Centereach, & based on past patterns I would be surprised if a second shipment of Avengers does show up there again...if they do make an appearance, I'll post...I think a better place to stake out right now is the Islandia location, they recently expanded the size of their toy dept. ...that particular location has a real low-rent clientele, though, so be prepared to step over abandoned merchandise & discarded Mickey D refuse in the aisles...I'll try & make it there this week...

Haven't posted in a while, but found a good one.

I went into my local HobbyTownUSA to see what 1:18 XDs they may've had - I was really looking for the new Stuka to add to my collection of Luftwaffe fighters/bombers - when I saw they had one of the P-38L Pudgy V.

I grabbed it and brought it home to make it my first Allied fighter in my collection.

They also had a nice collection of P-51s & new Stukas as well... I'll definately be going back again real soon... can't... stop.
